Gigi Hadid may have found her perfect fairy tale.
The model revealed that during her two-year private romance with Bradley Cooper, he’s encouraged her to pursue one of her creative ambitions that has fallen to the backburner: acting.
In fact, as the 30-year-old told Vogue in an interview published Sept. 8, it led to her auditioning for Rapunzel in Disney’s live-action production of Tangled, which is currently on hold.
And to prepare to truly embody the long-haired princess, she even took singing lessons throughout the chaos of fashion week.
“What do we do in this job anymore that scares us?” Gigi asked pal Kendall Jenner during their joint interview, adding that, while she didn’t end up getting the part, she cherished the experience more than anything. “The singing…I knew they were going to go with a real singer, but I’ll show you my audition scene later.”
While she didn’t land the role this time around, this wasn’t the first time Gigi—who first sparked romance rumors with Bradley, 50, in October 2023—shared a glimpse into how the A Star Is Born actor has supported her creative endeavors.
“I respect him so much as a creative,” she explained to Vogue in March. “I feel that he gives so much to me: encouragement and, just, belief.”
“For those people you admire to encourage you, it can create so much belief in yourself,” she added. “Like, what’s the worst thing if I auditioned for this? You jump and take the leap.”
And after her 2021 split from Zayn Malik, Gigi—who shares 4-year-old daughter Khai with the One Direction alum—explained that navigating the dating world in the public eye was nothing less than a challenge.
“Where do you go? And, what? You just start talking to people?” she remembered wondering. “And then there’s another added layer of privacy and security.”
So, when she met Bradley—dad to 8-year-old daughter Lea with ex Irina Shayk—at the birthday party for a mutual friend’s child, it felt like it was meant to be. As she put it, “I just feel really lucky.”
“I think just getting to the point where knowing what you want and deserve in a relationship is essential,” she continued. “And then to find someone that is in a place in their life where they know what they want and deserve…and you both do work separately to come together and be the best partner that you can be.”

By the new year, Gigi and Bradley had taken the next step in their relationship: meeting the parents. In fact, the supermodel joined Bradley and his mother Gloria Campano for dinner at Los Angeles’ Giorgio Baldi after the 2024 Golden Globes on Jan. 7.
Early 2024: Confirming Romance
The couple officially confirmed their romance when they stepped out holding hands during a visit to London on Jan. 25. Weeks later, on Valentine’s Day, their love story continued to heat up during an outing in the Big Apple, where they were spotted arm-in-arm and wearing matching outfits. Bradley also played the role of supportive boyfriend as they visited Gigi’s Guest in Residence boutique on Feb. 26.
March 2024: PDA Alert
Bradley and Gigi packed on the PDA as they dined at Via Carota March 14, the same restaurant they were first spotted at together in October. This time, they were joined by Queer Eye stars Antoni Porowski and Tan France, who is also Gigi’s Next in Fashion co-host.

The couple enjoyed a date night at a performance of Sweeney Todd on Broadway, later posing backstage with cast member Joanna Carpenter.
November 2024: Enjoying the Razzle Dazzle
Among the duo’s favorite activities: Catching a Broadway performance, and all that jazz. “Bradley has opened me up to going to the theater more,” Gigi shared in an April 2025 Vogue cover profile, months after they saw Alyssa Milano in Chicago, “and that’s something that’s so nice to bring back into my life.”
