Ireland Baldwin and Hilaria Baldwin are clearing the air.
After the 29-year-old daughter of Alec Baldwin and his ex Kim Basinger quashed rumors of any beef with Alec’s wife Hilaria, the 41-year-old echoed the sentiment, sharing that she feels equally grateful to have her stepdaughter in her life.
And while the model admitted that her thoughts might seem like they’re coming out of “left field” since she doesn’t normal publicly comment on “her or any family members,” she explained that she was opening up after seeing too many “misinformed comments” about their relationship.
“Hilaria has had a far more complex and chaotic upbringing than she lets on and I think that’s why we’ve maybe bonded in someways?” Ireland continued. “She didn’t always feel safe and seen. Sometimes, she is too loyal to a fault. She is eccentric and totally bat s–t crazy (in a fun way) but she saved my dad’s life.”
Crediting her stepmom with helping to turn her dad’s health around and show him “the forgiveness and kindness that he needed,” she continued, “She also recognizes and nourishes the parts of my father that are the most compassionate and wonderful.”
And Hilaria’s ability to help Alec through a difficult period has positively impacted Ireland’s own bond with her dad, who shares kids Carmen, 11, Rafael, 10 Leonardo, 8, Romeo, 7, Eduardo, 4, María Lucía, 4, and Ilaria, 2, with the Yoga Vida founder.
As Ireland put it, “Hilaria is the reason I am able to have the close relationship with my father that I do.”
“She is the reason I get to have siblings/a big family that I’ve always wanted,” she added. “She has always respected me, accepted my flaws, embraced me, and has always shown me kindness.”
Emphasizing that she’s admired Hilaria since she was teenager, Ireland closed out her message by wishing her luck on her next chapter as a season 34 contestant on Dancing With the Stars.
“I am so proud of her for doing Dancing With the Stars and I CANNOT wait to cheer her ass on,” she said. “She deserves this! And it’s not my place to share the ins and outs, but this woman is a gem and deserves all the love.”

Alexander Rae Baldwin III—the Emmy-winning actor known as Alec Baldwin—was born April 3, 1958, to Alexander Rae Baldwin Jr. and Carol Newcomb. He’s the second of six siblings and the oldest brother.

Their father died at the age of 55 in 1983 but Carol—who survived a 1991 breast cancer diagnosis—lived until she was 92. She passed away May 26, 2022, with 25 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and an eponymous cancer research foundation to her name.
“My mother taught me about second acts. And third ones, too,” Alec wrote in tribute when she died. “She spent the last 25 years of her life as a fighter and a champion for the cause to which she devoted so much energy.”

On Aug. 23, 2024, Justin revealed that son Jack Blues Bieber had arrived.
“WELCOME HOME,” the singer captioned a photo of the newborn’s squee-inducing tiny foot juxtaposed against one of his mom’s immaculately manicured fingers.
Justin’s mom, Pattie Mallette, wrote on X, “CONGRATULATIONS @justinbieber & Hailey. I LOVE YOU FOREVER BABY JACK.”
