A celebration filled with love.
Meghan Markle marked her 44th birthday alongside her husband Prince Harry and reflected on the occasion, which included dinner with friends and family.
“Blowing out the candles on a beautiful 24 hours, and thanking my husband, friends and family for making it so special,” the With Love, Meghan star wrote in an Aug 5 Instagram post alongside a photo of her blowing out the candles on her hibiscus flower cake. “To those of you I don’t know, but who send love every day— thank you so much. Please know I feel it and appreciate it.”
Meghan—who shares kids Archie, 6, and Lilibet, 3, with Harry, 40—rounded out her post with a special shoutout to the Beverly Hills hotspot Funke.
“And just to get a little foodie on you….this dinner last night at @funke_la with the culinary mastery of @evanfunke and his team is in the top five meals of my life,” she gushed. “Extraordinary [pasta emoji] Thank you for a standout dining experience.”
Meghan felt the love on her special day, as her close friend Abigail Spencer—who also turned 44 on Aug. 4—shared a sweet tribute in her honor.
“As glorious as the day I met you. Champagne in human form,” the Suits actress wrote Aug 4 on Instagram alongside a series of throwbacks pics of her and Meghan. “A creature unlike any other. Thank you for being a sister in this life, and beyond. Words can’t capture. From the rooftops. So grateful for your life, @meghan. Thanks for saving mine. Love, Abs. 44/4. 8/4/81.”
Meghan returned the love writing in the comments, “Thank you, sweet Abs! Right back at you, and happy birthday to YOU! 44/4.”
Meghan’s year has been filled with endless gratitude. Indeed, the Suits alum recently gushed about the current season of her life, noting that it’s the “happiest” she’s ever been.
“To have a husband and a partner who is so supportive and kids who are healthy and happy,” Meghan expressed to TIME CEO Jessica Sibley in April. “I never imagined at this point I would feel so happy and grateful, and I really do.”
