Jason Kelce Shares Emotional Message to Brother Travis Kelce After Super Bowl 2025 Loss

Jason Kelce has nothing but game-winning support.

The New Heights host shared a message following Super Bowl LIX where his former Philadelphia Eagles defeated his brother Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs on Feb. 9 in New Orleans.

The 37-year-old noted that after processing his emotions, he could finally pen a message celebrating his brother, highlighting the success of his former team, and note that he relates to parents Donna Kelce and Ed Kelce—who watched him and Travis face-off against each other during the Super Bowl in 2023.

“That game was odd for me to watch if I’m being completely honest. I knew it was going to be mixed emotions before, during, and after, and I now know what my parents had to deal with two years ago,” Jason wrote on X (formally known as Twitter) Feb. 10. “On one hand, I wanted what is best for my brother, and to see his success. And on the other hand, there are so many people, teammates, and coaches, in the Philadelphia Eagles organization that I care deeply about, many of whom I owe my own success to throughout my career.”

Jason then went on to highlight his younger brother’s accomplishments.

“As for my brother, there isn’t a person I love or care about more,” the They Call It Late Night host wrote. “It has been tough to process these feelings, of course I feel for him and am always rooting for him, but I know he does not need, nor want my pity. He has amassed greatness few on this planet could ever dream of, as has his team, and they should feel pride in their accomplishments this season and in the past.”

“I know right now they are still thinking of last night and the shortcomings in the last game,” he added. “But in time that will fade, and the greatness they have exhibited as a group will remain as one of the most dominant eras of football ever.”

Still, Jason—who won the 2018 Super Bowl with the Eagles—had nothing but love for his former squad, who was led by quarterback Jalen Hurts and coach Nick Sirianni.

“I am very proud for Jalen Hurts, Nick Sirianni, and this entire team. They have persevered greatly, answered their critics amazingly, and proved themselves to be undoubtedly the best team this season,” he wrote. “It is extremely difficult for a team in the NFL to have enough talent, coaching, fortune, and character to win a Super Bowl.”

He continued, “The character and swagger of this Eagles team was something truly special to behold. A true representation of the toughness and grit that makes Philadelphia what it is.”

Jason ended his message with excitement, noting that he can’t wait to see the Eagles at the hometown parade and added one final “Go Birds” callback.

The Eagles defeated the Chiefs 40-22, in what was an upset for Travis, Patrick Mahomes and the squad—who aimed to obtain a record-breaking third consecutive Super Bowl ring.

In a follow-up message, Jason also explained his decision to delete the initial congratulatory post to the Eagles shared on the New Heights Instagram.

“I had Jake take that graphic down because that post had too many pictures of me,” Jason replied to a fan who asked for a reason in a corresponding tweet. “I wanted the post to be reflective of the guys who just won, not me. I didn’t win s–t in this one, it felt weird to congratulate this team with a bunch of pictures of me.”
