Jesy Nelson is singing a sweet melody—with a ring on her finger.
The Little Mix alum announced that she’s engaged to Zion Foster, with whom she shares 4-month-old twins Ocean Jade and Story Monroe.
Jesy shared a photo of her and Zion, who she started dating in 2022, embracing one another on the beach during sunset as he kisses her on the cheek to Instagram Sept. 26. In the heartwarming pic, the singer smiles at the camera while showing off the sparkling new rock on her finger.
The 34-year-old added a close-up photo of her round-cut diamond ring, which appeared to be set on a band covered in diamonds, captioning the post, “Just got engaged to my best friend.”
The couple’s engagement comes amid a year full of ups and downs, which started with the couple sharing in January that they were expecting twins. Two months later, the “Boyz” singer revealed that she was carrying Monochorionic Diamniotic Twins, which means that the fetuses had their own amniotic sacs but shared a single placenta.
She noted at the time that, because the condition could lead to “tons of complications” with her pregnancy, she would be closely monitored during a lengthy hospital stay.
“But we are just hoping and praying for the best,” Jesy said at the time, “We feel so blessed that we’ve been given twins, but it’s just really sad that, unfortunately, it does come with its complications, which we had no idea about.”
Later this spring, Zion shared an update amid Jesy’s continued hospitalization after she underwent a procedure due to complications from her twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS).
“It’s at these times when you really, really know what love you have and what your relationship means,” the 26-year-old told OK Magazine in April. “For me and Jess, this has just taken it to a whole other level of us knowing we are literally made for each other.”
He added that they have “grown to understand each other on a deeper level” during their situation, which culminated in their twins being treated in the NICU after being born on May 15 at 31 weeks and 5 days.
“So… Our beautiful baby girls decided to come at 31weeks plus 5 days,” Jesy wrote on her Instagram May 18, alongside photos of herself and Zion with their twins. “It all happened so quickly, but we are so blessed that they are here with us, healthy and fighting strong! We’ve never felt more in love.”
