Queer Eye stars Antoni Porowski and Jonathan Van Ness are known for their expert advice — Antoni in the kitchen and Jonathan in grooming — but they’re also passionate pet parents.
In an exclusive E! interview, the Yummers founders shared their favorite picks for their furry friends, giving fans a peek into the products they swear by for everyday care and comfort. You can browse Antoni’s full list of must-haves on Amazon, and check out all of Jonathan’s go-to pet picks too.
Antoni’s go-to finds for his rescue pup Neon include nutritious meal mix-ins, a hilarious squirrel toy, and a pet-safe cleaning spray that actually works. Meanwhile, Jonathan, who has three dogs and five cats at home, highlighted a few interactive toys and products that keep the whole crew engaged and happy.
Whether you’re shopping for a curious kitten or a playful pup, their Amazon-approved picks are smart, effective, and easy to add to your cart — especially while Amazon Pet Day deals are still live.
Amazon Pet Day is a 48-hour sale running from May 13 through May 14, 2025.
E!: What’s your strategy to navigate Amazon Pet Day shopping?
JVN: I really like to stock up on Amazon Pet Day — just get ahead on bulk things so I don’t have to refresh so often. Things that last longer. It’s such a good time to save. Who doesn’t love a little extra savings?
AP: A massive part of our identity is our pets, and we want the best for them. Whether it’s developing Yummers or curating this list of stuff, these are things we actually use in our lives. When it comes from an organic place, people tend to respond in a really good way. So we hope it translates.
Antoni Porowski and Jonathan Van Ness Amazon Pet Day Must-Haves
Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day Pet Multi-Surface Cleaner
“Obviously, you don’t want to use harsh chemicals—you want to keep it as natural as possible for pets. Incorporating that into my own lifestyle with products is something that JVN has been trying to drill into my brain for years,” Antoni says.
More from Antoni: “You don’t want any of that harsh, weird stuff. You want to feel good about what you use. It just improves their lives.”
Scotch-Brite Pet Hair Pickup Extra Sticky Lint Roller
“I’m a huge fan of lint rollers for getting any hair off furniture,” JVN shares.
Antoni: “When all else fails, I bundle up on an Amazon pack of lint rollers and get her cleaned up before we go out for the night, especially if we’re headed to a restaurant.”
Luciphia 100% Waterproof Couch Cover Blanket for Dogs
“Our dogs are couch dogs, so I’m obsessed with the Luciphia 100% Waterproof Couch Cover. You know when you get a new piece of furniture and you don’t want to mess it up? It’s great, especially for rainy days when you have to let them out,” Jonathan says.
More from JVN: “I’ve been using it for, like, 15,000 years. It’s so nice.”
PetSafe 3 in 1 Dog Harness
Antoni explains, “This is particularly good on hikes. On the street, she’s leash-trained and has great recall, but I use this harness more for hikes. It has a handle I can easily grab.”
More from Antoni: “This harness attaches in the front and back, so it’s secure around her torso, which is important.”
Yummers Premium Chicken & Ginger Meal Mix-Ins
“I mix her Yummers in with her food. It does not affect the taste. Some dogs are pickier than others, but for us, it’s been great,” Antoni explains.
More from Antoni: “With a lot of shelter dogs, digestion can also be a problem. They’ve often been eating low-quality kibble. With Yummers, we’re learning about the ingredients that make a difference for a healthy skin and coat.”
Outward Hound Hide A Squirrel Plush Dog Toy Puzzle
“Neon has a deep obsession with squirrels, and I found cute little squirrel toys for her. They bring her a lot of joy,” Antoni raves.
Outward Hound Squeakin’ Squirrels Plush Replacement Dog Toys – 3 Pack
“I got several bags of refills too. They’re all over the apartment. They make her happy, and that makes me happy,” Antoni says.
PetCove Self Cleaning Litter Box With Auto Safety Sensors for Multiple Cats
“I love a self-cleaning, pet-safe cat litter box. It’s a bit smaller than other automatic cleaners I’ve used. I have 18 million cats, but that one really keeps things clean, keeps the smell under control.”
More from JVN: “You won’t have a cat-smelling house with this.”
Ring Indoor Cam With Ring Pet Tag
Jonathan says, “I travel so much. I love the Ring Indoor Cam—it’s kind of like a Ring but for your pets. You can see your cat at the house—it’s really cute. We use it constantly when we’re away.”
Antoni: “I’d be obsessed—I’d watch Neon way too much.”
Chew King Dog Fetch Balls for All Breed Sizes
“For me, it’s more about figuring out how to keep her busy when I’m gone for a little while. I’m obsessed with the Chew King rubber chew balls that you can put kibble in. It’s a small detail that a lot of brands miss, but they nailed it,” Antoni explains.
More from Antoni: “The kibble still comes out, but it’s challenging enough that she stays busy for three hours. It’s great for her brain. Even though she’s a pit bull and can destroy anything, this rubber doesn’t fall apart into tiny bits. I would get nervous she’ll swallow something.
Nylabone Puppy Chew Toys & Natural Treat Triple Pack
“NylaBone is another good one. Those chew toys last forever—really worth the money,” Antoni shares.
E!: If your pets could speak, what do you think they’d say about your shopping habits when it comes to their needs?
JVN: I think mine would say I’m a really good parent who impulse-buys them a lot of stuff—and that I have really good taste in cat houses and unique hiding spots.
Honestly, I think the dogs would say they’re jealous of the cats. I do buy the cats more toys. The dogs get treats—bones, chews—but the cats love toys. So, yeah, maybe a little rivalry there.
AP: I think Neon would say she deserves everything — she’s become pretty entitled. I used to justify it, telling myself she was a rescue and had a tough start, so she should get the extra treat.
Now that I’ve had her longer than she was ever on the streets, I think she’s totally forgotten that part of her life. She gets toys, treats, hikes, training — everything — and still always wants more. She really is my daughter, constantly pushing me to find more snacks and squirrel toys.
JVN: She’s so happy. Neon really strikes me as a happy, happy, happy girl.

Luckitty Plush Cat/Dog Tunnel Bed With Washable Cushion
Give your cat a cozy spot to nap and a crinkly tunnel to explore with this plush, collapsible playground.
E!: Queer Eye is all about self-care and finding inner joy. How do those priorities translate to how you care for your pets?
JVN: One thing I’ve really learned from the show is knowing when to ask for help when something isn’t my strongest suit. With our pets — we have five cats and three dogs — I need help feeding them, especially on busy days.
My husband is such a support system. I used to try to do everything myself and not ask for help, but that leads to burnout and disconnection. Asking for help has been a recurring and important lesson.
AP: I’m not as evolved as JVN, but what I will say is that I try to do things on my own and then end up asking for help when I get stuck. On Amazon, with all of these products, there’s so much transparency now. I can see the ingredients in the food I’m feeding my dog, or the materials used in toys. I can see the scale of something visually. That transparency makes it easier to make smart decisions.
