Joshua Jackson and Jodie Turner-Smith’s breakup has reached its legal conclusion.
The former couple reached a divorce settlement over a year and a half after Jodie filed for divorce in October 2023. In the settlement, as seen in documents obtained by E! News, the pair reached an agreement concerning spousal support, child support and custody of their 4-year-old daughter Juno.
Pertaining to spousal support, Joshua and Jodie each agreed to waive “any and all claims and/or obligations related to the payment […] of spousal support, alimony, or maintenance of any kind whatsoever, including, but not limited to, temporary and permanent spousal support,” both now and in the future.
Regarding child support, however, Joshua agreed to pay Jodie $2,787 per month until Juno is 19 years old or she completes 12th grade, whichever comes first. The pair will otherwise “equally divide (50/50) all reasonable unreimbursed medical/health expenses, private school tuition and mandatory school costs,” as well as other costs including tutoring, camps and other extra-curricular activities.
“Given the fluctuating income of the parties,” the document read, “the parties shall, on an annual basis, calculate the appropriate amount of child support above and beyond the base support or any reimbursement for overpayments, as to the child support paid in the prior year.”
And when it comes to custody of Juno, the Dawson’s Creek alum and Anne Boleyn star agreed to maintain “the existing temporary joint legal and physical custody orders, awarding joint legal and physical custody to the parties with equal timeshares.”
The settlement notes Joshua previously paid Jodie a $133,333 equalization payment in March, and that he was required to make an equal payment no later than May 12. Additionally, he was required to make a separate payment to Jodie of the same amount by April 14 “as a further and final contribution toward her attorney’s fees and costs.”
Both Jodie, 38, and Joshua, 46, signed off on the settlement on April 23.
E! News has reached out to reps for both actors for comment but has not yet heard back.
Jodie previously filed documents, obtained by E! News, in February in which she requested Joshua pay $8,543 per month in child support, as well as $28,641 per month in spousal support. The Agency actress also demanded he pay her a retroactive $250,000 for fees accrued amid their ongoing legal battle.
Within the filing, Jodie explained why she requested the sums she did.
“During our marriage, I spent a significant amount of time as the primary caretaker to Juno while Josh continued to advance in his acting career,” she alleged in the documents. “Josh has been a successful working actor for over thirty years, while I am significantly younger and am still working hard to establish my acting career. During our marriage, Josh historically made more money than me and at times, significantly more.”
