Kate Gosselin has found her new plus one.
The Jon & Kate Plus 8 alum shared that she is indeed dating someone, and that they have actually been together for quite some time.
“I am dating somebody for the past year—little over a year,” Kate said in aSept. 22 TikTok Q&Avideo, adding that the couple had been together for, “14, 15, months.”
And these days, the 50-year-old—who was previously married to Jon Gosselin for 10 years—is “super, super happy” about her new romance. As she revealed, “It’s somebody that I’ve known for a really long time.”
However, Kate’s boyfriend, whom she didn’t name, does prefer to keep their relationship out of the public eye.
“He doesn’t really want to be on TikToks,” she confessed. “Can’t blame him, really, I guess. But you perhaps will catch a peep of him here and there once in a while going forward.”
Following her 2009 divorce from Jon—with whom she shares 24-year-old twin daughters Mady and Cara as well as 21-year-old sextuplets Alexis, Hannah, Leah, Collin, Aaden and Joel—she has faced speculation about her love life.
The TV star even got a bit of help in the dating department with her 2019 TLC reality show Kate Plus Date, in which she teamed up with relationship and dating experts to find the perfect match for her.
Throughout the years, Kate—who previously sparked romance rumors with bodyguard Steve Neild and businessman Jeff Prescott—has been candid about the prospect of finding love again, especially as her kids have gotten older and moved out of the house.
“I will never say never because I mean maybe, I don’t know,” she confessed to People in 2023. “I don’t know what it’s going to feel like to be at home all the time by myself. Maybe I will end up being…lonely.”
At the time, the TLC star admitted that she likes to “stay to myself.”
“I know I’ve said this for years and it’s boring,” she continued, “but it’s like, I’m not really a go-out, hangout-places person, so I’m not really going to meet anybody.”
