Keke Palmer’s latest platter of hot wings has a little sweetness to it.
After all, the Nope actor neutralized the heat with her lip gloss. During her Sept. 15 appearance on Hot Ones, Keke gave host Sean Evans a kiss after he revealed that he has a crush on her.
“There’s one more thing I’d like to say, Sean,” Keke, 32, said towards the end of the episode. “I saw an interview where you said I was your favorite guest and all this really sweet stuff. And I know we’ve just had some wings, but I thought that maybe we could just have a quick smooch to see if there’s a spark.”
Sean, 39, blushed and didn’t hesitate to accept the kiss, telling the Scream Queens star, “Yeah, let’s do it.”
The duo—who previously connected on Hot Ones in 2017 and 2021—then stood up from the table and shared a kiss. And if their bubbly reactions weren’t enough proof of their chemistry, the show’s team edited in a few fireworks in the distance.
“The spark was sparking,” Keke complimented the interaction, to which Sean sweetly replied, “When I’m dying and my life flashes before my eyes, I’ll have that snapshot.”
Indeed, Sean revealed that he was smitten by the True Jackson VP alum in 2023. During his appearance on Amelia’s Dimoldenberg’s Chicken Shop Date in November of that year, she asked the Hot Ones host if he “ever had a crush” on one of his guests. And after he encouraged her to guess the answer, he confirmed that it was Keke.
“Very charming,” he said of the actress at the time. “Very charming woman.”
Then, over a year later, Keke—who shares 2-year-old son Leodis with ex-boyfriend Darius Jackson—reacted to Sean’s compliment like a true Virgo.
“Not to say that I was surprised or I wasn’t surprised,” she told People in August 2024. “But when I heard it and people were sending it to me, I was like, ‘I knew the vibes were vibing.’”
