It seems Kentucky is down bad for another Eras Tour.
In fact, the city’s Unbridled Eve Derby Gala advertised they were selling Taylor Swift concert tickets in their latest auction—even though the singer hasn’t announced a 2026 tour. And now, one of the gala’s organizers is apologizing for the mishap.
“In the most recent Unbridled Eve press release, it inadvertently listed one of our auction items as a ‘Signed guitar by Taylor Swift and two concert tickets during her upcoming 2026 tour,’” gala cofounder Tammy York Day explained in an April 17 press release. “Our deepest apologies for getting the Swiftie Nation excited.”
Day confirmed the auction should have noted the prize was “two tickets for a concert during her next tour” in the future, considering they have “no knowledge” of when Swift will head back on the road. The 35-year-old ended her latest Eras Tour—which started in March 2023 and grossed over $2 billion in sales—last December, and hasn’t teased any plans to revive it.
In fact, the Tortured Poets Department singer made sure to close out the nearly two-year tour in a special way. In late November, two weeks before her final three shows in Canada, she released an Eras Tour book filled with 500 exclusive photos and Swift’s personal thoughts.
As for the mistaken auction prize, a Louisville-based news station WDRB first reported on the “Taylor Swift surprise” on April 12, though they’ve since updated the list of prizes to reflect the ticket correction. And Swift wasn’t the only celebrity attached to the May 2 gala, as other stars like Yung Gravy, Gary Clark Jr., and The Duke of Hazzard’s John Schneider will be in attendance.
Though the Unbridled Eve’s surprise was an error, it certainly excited fans on social media. But luckily for Swifties, the Eras Tour continues to live on in her concert film—and in the many dazzling photos from her nearly two-year venture.
