Kim Kardashian is sharing her thoughts on the education system.
Indeed, the Kardashians star—who shares kids North West, 12, Saint West, 9, Chicago West, 7, and Psalm West, 5, with ex-husband Kanye “Ye” West—admitted that she doesn’t “believe in homework.”
“I’m going to tell you why,” Kim explained during a recent appearance on Kai Cenat’s Mafiathon 3 livestream. “Kids are in school for eight hours a day.”
The 44-year-old went on to emphasize that so much of her kids’ time is already devoted to academics.
“When they come home, they do sports, have a life, spend time with their family,” she continued. “I think that homework should be left for in school.”
Beyond Kim’s latest controversial take on education, her sisters Kourtney Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian recently expressed a few unconventional thoughts of their own.
Indeed, the Poosh founder—who shares kids Mason Disick, 15, Penelope Disick, 13, and Reign Disick, 10, with ex Scott Disick as well as Rocky Barker, 22 months, with Travis Barker—explained why she thinks going to school is “so dated.”
“I love to go against the grain,” she told Khloe during a May episode of her Khloe in Wonder Land podcast. “I think living authentically is not conforming to whatever it is. It’s like if someone does the same thing every day—I do it with everything, it’s not about our family. Let’s say the school system, I’ll think, ‘Why do kids f–king go to school?’ Truly, it’s so dated.”
And she wasn’t alone in considering the idea of homeschooling her children, as Khloe —who shares True Thompson, 7, and Tatum Thompson, 3, with Tristan Thompson—confirmed that she’s also “a homeschool person.”
But while the famous family might have a few hot takes surrounding education, Kim recently celebrated her own academic milestone: graduating from law school.
After six years of legal training, the reality star threw a small commencement ceremony with family and friends, including her pal Van Jones, complete with place settings made from her old study notes.
“All of you guys have been on this journey with me,” Kim said in her May 21 graduation speech, which was shared on her Instagram Stories. “It did start with Van and I. Well, it started with the Twitter video that I saw that popped up.”
Going on to express that she was “dumbfounded” by the state of the legal system at the time, Kim started looking into criminal justice reform, which led to her enrolling in a four-year apprenticeship with a San Francisco law firm in 2018 and passing the bar exam in 2021.
And once her 5,184 hours of legal study finally paid off, her family was overjoyed to see her following in her late dad Robert Kardashian’s footsteps.
“This was years and years in the making,” Khloe gushed on her own Instagram Stories at the time. “This was just such a cool accomplishment and I’m so proud. This was really inspiring and motivating.”
