Scott Disick knows Kim Kardashian is comfortable using legal jargon in everyday life.

But she didn’t object to this sweet present. After all, the SKIMS founder couldn’t help but gush over a Legally Blonde-inspired cake she was gifted after graduating law school from Kourtney Kardashian’s ex.

The pink three-tiered cake featured stacked law books with “Legally Graduated” adorned on their spines, as well as a small banner that read “Kim is my Lawyer.”

Alongside the May 22 Instagram Story showing off the treat, Kim thanked Scott and wrote, “OMG this cake!!!”

After the 44-year-old announced that she graduated from law school following six years of training, she shared insight into her “unconventional path” to pursue her dreams.

“It wasn’t easy, and it took longer than planned, but I never gave up,” she wrote in a May 22 Instagram post. “Each course brought moments of doubt, tears, and triumph – especially when I conquered subjects I initially feared. That’s the beauty of life: you step into the unknown, push through, and emerge with knowledge and strength no one can take away.”

“I chose a rigorous program registered with the California State Bar, building on 75 college credits to complete a four-year curriculum that stretched to six,” she continued. “The journey was real, and so is the accomplishment.”

Along with recognizing those who helped her navigate this new professional chapter, Kim emphasized how invaluable this journey was.

“This experience has shaped me profoundly, and I’ll carry its lessons with me forever,”she concluded. “Here’s to celebrating resilience and new beginnings!”

Kim, whose interest in criminal justice reform inspired her decision, enrolled in a four-year apprenticeship with a law firm in 2018 before taking the California “baby bar” exam—which signifies that students taking unaccredited law classes completed their first year of study—three times before passing in 2021.

She also passed the Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam this March, a major step towards practicing law in California.

While the Kardashians star was motivated by social justice, she also found strength in following the footsteps of her late father Robert Kardashian Sr., who famously served as one of O.J. Simpson‘s defense attorneys during his 1995 murder trial.

“I know my dad would be so proud and he would actually be so shocked to know that this is my path now but he would have been my best study partner,” Kim reflected on Instagram in March. “I am told he was notorious for making fun of people who didn’t pass on their first attempt like he did, but he would have been my biggest cheerleader!”
