Kris Jenner Reveals Secret to Her and Corey Gamble’s 10-Year Relationship

More than 10 years ago, Kris Jenner took a gamble in her love life.

Following her breakup from Caitlin Jenner, the Kardashian-Jenner family matriarch started dating Corey Gamble.As for why they’re still clicking a decade into their romance, her daughter Khloe Kardashian thinks she knows the secret.

“He doesn’t try to control you,” the Good American founder told her mom on the March 13 episode of her podcast Khloe in Wonder Land. “He lets you be you.”

As Kris put it, “And he makes it easier to be me.”

And a big part of Kris is life as a mom of six—Kourtney Kardashian, 45, Kim Kardashian, 44, Khloe, 40, and Rob Kardashian, 37, with late ex Robert Kardashian, as well as Kendall Jenner, 29, and Kylie Jenner, 27, with Caitlyn—and grandmother of 14. 

While Khloe noted that it was “interesting that he has no kids and he’s with someone that has the most kids and grandkids,” Kris revealed, “I think three of them were with me when the night I met him in Spain.”

Kris, 69, and Corey, 44, met in August 2014 at fashion designer Riccardo Tisci‘s 40th birthday bash on the island of Ibiza. By November of that year, he had earned an invite to the momager’s own birthday party.

By 2015, he’d joined Kris on E!‘s Keeping Up With the Kardashians as he got to know her and her kids better.

“Listen, if one of us is with a partner, we’re kind of all with that partner. It’s like, all for one and one for all,” Kris told Khloe. “We know that we just want each other to be happy and we all spend all of our time together. So for us, it would never work if you know there was friction with the kids.”

And then there was the challenge of adapting to the Kardashian-Jenner family lifestyle. Luckily, as Kris put it, Corey “had worked with a high-profile person” before.

“He was very well aware of how a life like this goes and all the things that came with it,” she explained about her boyfriend, who has worked as Justin Bieber‘s tour manager. “He knew all about security and all about all the drivers and seemed to know everybody in L.A. and everybody in my life and it was a very safe feeling to be able to date someone who you didn’t have to explain how our life worked.”

So Kris felt really comfortable that she “didn’t have to make excuses” to Corey for her and her family’s lifestyle. Beyond that, she cherishes their adventure together.

“We travel really well together,” she said. “All we did was travel. We still, that’s all we do, is we’re going here, going there.”

Plus, he has his own bonds with her kids. “I mean, he’s been around long enough to see, you know, a lot of the things that you guys do and how passionate you are and how hard you work,” she gushed. “Nothing is handed to you. Nothing. And he sees and respects that and talks about that and just admires how much everybody has so much, just, focus and vision and creativity.”

She continued, “I think that anybody who’s watching from the inside, which is very few people, get to really see how we are day-to-day and I think it is amazing for somebody like him to sit back and say, ‘Wow, this is incredible.'”
