Watch: Emmys 2025: Kristen Bell’s Mind-Blowing Wellness Hacks Revealed by Justine Lupe

Kristen Bell knows what Dax Shepard wants at the 2025 Emmys.

And during the Sept. 14 ceremony, the Nobody Wants This star caught her husband in the act as he indulged in exactly what he was looking for: a mid-show snack.

In a video posted on Kristen’s Instagram page, Dax, 50, waved to the camera from his seat at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles as he stuffed a red Hot Cheeto into his mouth. Moments later, he continued to satisfy his craving by taking a bite out of a hot dog before hurriedly joining the rest of the audience in applause.

And while the moment may not have been the Armchair Expert podcast host’s most graceful hour, Kristen—who was nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series at the show—wouldn’t have had it any other way.

“I can’t take him anywhere,” the 45-year-old captioned the video, “and still, I always will.”

But the actress couldn’t take credit for capturing the hilarious video, and she made sure to thank Sarah Paulson for filming the moment of “adorable gluttony.”

As for Dax, the Parenthood alum had a succinct explanation for his spontaneous snacking.

“I got peckish,” he said in a follow-up clip as the camera documented the trail of wrappers left by his impromptu feast. “I got really peckish.”

Meanwhile, fans have been building quite an appetite for season two of Nobody Wants This, premiering on Netflix Oct. 23. And with Leighton Meester set to join the cast as the one-time nemesis of Kristen’s character Joanne, it’s safe to say viewers are in for quite a treat.

“Leighton Meester is blessing us with her presence,” Kristen told E! News in February, adding that the guest appearance “will be fun” because in real life, “She is not my nemesis.”
