E! What inspired you to share your acne journey so publicly, and how has that experience shaped your connection with your audience and the way you approach skincare?
LR: I started talking about my acne experience when I was 18, getting attention for the first time after being on a television show. I felt like I was the only actress around who was dealing with cystic and hormonal acne, and I started posting about it on my Instagram stories in order to feel less alone. It wasn’t necessarily a cry for help, but my search for a community of people who were dealing with a similar issue. And after that, I found there were so many young men and women who felt the same shame that I did about acne, and it really encouraged me to keep talking about it. I have such a passion for skin care — everyone who has been in my life for a long time knows that — and so creating a skin care line certainly wasn’t random.
E! Acne can be tough to deal with, especially when you’re in the public eye. How did it affect you mentally and emotionally? Were there any moments that felt especially challenging for you?
LR: I felt very alone when I had a bad breakout and had to be in front of a camera. When I have breakouts, I wear a baseball hat or a pimple patch and sometimes even cancel plans because I don’t wanna be seen, but you don’t have that option when you’re working on a set or doing a photo shoot. I do feel like acne is not as shameful as it used to be, especially in the eyes of the media, but I still think there needs to be more people in my industry who are willing to talk about it and normalize it.
E! What motivated you to start your own skincare line, and were there specific challenges or needs related to acne-prone skin that you felt were missing from existing products?
LR: This really all clicked for me when I was told that I should check the ingredients on everything I was using on my skin to make sure there were no acne-triggering ingredients in the formulas. Turns out, I was putting a lot of bad ingredients and acne triggers on my face. After I did a purge of those products, my skin got much better, and I set out to find replacement products that did not have acne-triggering ingredients. I was finding products here and there, but there was no single line that I found that was entirely acne-safe. This is why I created this skincare line — so that people like me could find safe haven skincare products that are clinically tested to not irritate their skin.
E! When a breakout strikes, which concealer do you turn to, and what makes it your go-to choice?
LR: Lately, I turn to my Cle de Peau stick concealer in beige.
E! What is your number one skincare tip that you stand by?
LR: Clear skin really begins with the fundamentals — keeping your skin clean and hydrated is the basis of everything. Skin that is hydrated is less likely to produce excess oil and lead to fewer clogged pores.
E! What’s the craziest skincare trend you’ve tried? Any skincare regrets?
About 10 years ago, I was getting a ton of PR packages of skincare and makeup sent to my house. Because I love skin care and products so much. I was really anxious and excited to try everything, so I did, and I completely destroyed my skin. My skin would break out constantly after using all of these new skincare products that were definitely not safe for my acne-prone skin. Just because something is expensive, it does not mean it’s going to work well for your skin. Lesson learned.

Trust Me on This Hypochlorous Acid Gel
“The Trust Me On This Hypochlorous Acid Gel is great for killing germs and healing. I would put this on skin first to make sure your face is a fresh palette.”
Daily Self-Discovery Set
Try travel-size versions of the Full Clarity Cleansing Powder, Doing the Work Salicylic Acid Acne Treatment and Dive Deep Mevalonic Moisturizer with this kit.
Full Clarity Cleansing Powder
“I learned from our brand advisor and triple board-certified dermatologist, Dr. Mamina Turegano, that preservatives are an acne trigger. Cleansers in a powder form actually need the least amount of preservatives compared to liquid cleansers, so I love using powders. The powder-to-foam action is so nice — you wet your hands, then sprinkle powder in your palms, and it turns into a thick and smooth lather. It leaves your skin cleansed but not dried out. Also great for travel!”
Doing the Work Salicylic Acid Acne Treatment
“I would follow [the Trust Me on This Hypochlorous Acid Gel] with the Doing the Work Salicylic Acid Acne Treatment, filled with BHA, AHA, azelaic acid, and niacinamide. It’s a power-packed formula that will clear pores, remove dead skin, calm redness and inflammation, and help with brightness. Together, these two products remove all of the acne-causing factors to prevent blemishes and also treat existing blemishes at the same time.”
Dive Deep Mevalonic Moisturizer
“I love this moisturizer so much! This moisturizer is light and not greasy while truly hydrating your skin with great ingredients like squalane and mevalonic acid to lock in moisture and repair your skin barrier. As a bonus, we put it in a pump so that you don’t have to dip your fingers into a jar each time you use it. I have chronically dry skin, so we went through a few variations of this one before I approved!”
Clear Skin Support System Starter Kit
“We get that investing in a whole new skincare routine can feel like a big ask, especially before you’ve had a chance to try it. That’s why we created two starter kits: one full-size and one travel-size. Each includes the essentials — a cleanser, acne treatment and moisturizer — designed to introduce you to our powerhouse ingredients like zinc hyaluronate and azelaic acid. We’ve also slightly discounted the sets to keep them accessible. Our philosophy is simple: Take what you need. We’re not here to push a full routine, but to help you find the products you truly love and build from there.”
Even Keel Resurfacing Peel
“I had seen great results from getting peels with an esthetician, but I know that not everyone has access to that, so I wanted to put this experience in a jar and make it available for people to do it at home. Seeing results quickly can be so motivating. It really makes you feel empowered to make a change in your skin and stay the course.”
Everybody Stay Calm Recovery Mask
“This has been our most viral mask to date! We know that skin can get really inflamed, and this mask is great for calming things down, repairing the barrier and bringing back the moisture it may have lost throughout the week. It’s thick and luxurious, and I use it as part of a twice-a-week self-care nighttime routine, after I use the peel.”
Emotional Support Lip Balm
Don’t forget about your lips! This non-sticky formula promises to be acne-safe.
Unplug Blackhead-Melting Nose Strips
“The nose strips that I grew up with and see on the market today harden on your nose so that you physically rip out the blackheads, tearing your pores and damaging your skin in the process. That’s very old school. Our strips use a first-of-its-kind nanotechnology, where it brings a blend of active ingredients like licorice root extract, tea tree leaf extract and azelaic acid deep into your pores. The technology turns the dirt and oils that make up the blackheads into liquid. You wear the strip for five to 10 minutes (it stays wet) and then, when you take it off, you lightly press and extract the liquid gunk gently out of your pores without causing skin damage.”
Trust Me on This Hypochlorous Acid Spray
“We are so proud of this product! A while ago, I was introduced to hypochlorous acid and told that it’s something I should be spraying on my face to keep it bacteria-free and calm when I’m traveling, having a long day, or after a workout session. I looked deeper into it and found that hypochlorous acid is actually a compound naturally found in our bodies to defend our skin from bacteria and wounds.
I wanted to create a hypochlorous spray that wouldn’t mess up my makeup, so we made sure our spray has the finest mister available. We also created a gel version that is great for wound healing — to be used after a skin-picking session or all over body parts that can be harder to reach with a spray.”
