Pedro Pascal as the Mandalorian, also known as Din Djarin, makes his big screen debut with his tiny apprentice Grogu (aka Baby Yoda) in the new trailer for Star Wars: The Mandalorian & Grogu, which dropped on Tuesday.

The film is a spinoff of Disney+’s The Mandalorian TV show and the new full trailer (below) at one point features Pascal kneeling and unmasked, as is Sigourney Weaver as Colonel Ward. The new footage follows the 30-second teaser trailer that aired during the Super Bowl.

“This isn’t about revenge. It’s about preventing another war,” Weaver’s character tells Mandalorian and Grogu as they’re enlisted to help defend the fledgling New Republic after the evil Empire has collapsed and imperial warlords are scattered around the galaxy.

“We’ll take out every bad guy in your deck of cards,” Mandalorian assures the Rebel Alliance colonel, as Grogu salutes their mission.

The project marks the first Star Wars movie since 2019’s The Rise of Skywalker and is directed by the Disney+ series The Mandalorian creator Jon Favreau, and is written by Favreau and Dave Filoni.

Jeremy Allen White also stars in the film, which hits theaters on May 22.

Star Wars: The Mandalorian & Grogu is the first Star Wars feature in almost seven years, since J.J. Abrams’ The Rise of Skywalker, and it comes during a new era for Lucasfilm, the company founded by Star Wars creator George Lucas and sold to Disney in 2012. After longtime president Kathleen Kennedy stepped down, Lucas protégé Dave Filoni and business executive Lynwen Brennan took over the company.

Star Wars: The Mandalorian & Grogu is produced by Favreau, Kennedy, Filoni, and Bryce, with music composed by Ludwig Göransson.
