Mariska Hargitay is calling in her special unit.
The Law & Order: SVU star brought along her husband Peter Hermann and their three kids—August, 18, Amaya, 14, and Andrew, 13—for the Tribeca Festival premiere of My Mom Jayne June 13.
Stepping out at New York City’s Carnegie Hall, the family of five was dressed to the nines, with Mariska and her daughter channeling Old Hollywood in classic gowns while Peter and the boys rocked tuxedos.
And it was certainly a family affair. After all, My Mom Jayne centers around Mariska’s mom Jayne Mansfield, who died in a 1967 car accident that she survived as a child.
In the HBO documentary, Mariska revealed that her late dad Mickey Hargitay was not her biological father, but rather Las Vegas entertainer Nelson Sardelli.
“It was like the floor fell out from underneath me,” she recalled in the film of the moment she realized her true parentage, per Vanity Fair. “Like my infrastructure dissolved.”
The rest of the world learned about Mariska’s long-kept family secret when the movie debuted last month at the Cannes Film Festival, where the 61-year-old was joined by Peter—who she married in 2004—and their children.
“Being in Cannes with the family was kind of like tectonic plates shifting,” Mariska told InStyle on June 6, sharing that it was “deeply meaningful” to “see my children proud of me.”
She continued, “It was so beautiful.”
And for the ER alum, having Peter and their kids’ support is everything.
“Peter is such a deep and soulful human,” she told E! News in 2024. “I just love getting to know him on a deeper level. And so there’s always more.”
As for the secret to their decades-long marriage? “We listen to each other and root for each other,” Mariska shared in a separate E! interview that year, “and challenge each other and are committed and so invested. We want the same things, and we cherish our union—that comes first.”
