Matthew McConaughey did alright, alright, alright with his kids.
As the Oscar winner visited the Universal Studios Hollywood theme park in Los Angeles with his wife Camila Alves McConaughey, the pair proved their kids Levi, 16, Vida, 15, and Livingston, 12, look just like their mini-mes.
In a rare family photo from their June 19 outing, Matthew sported a blue, long-sleeved button-down shirt with a pair of khaki shorts and flip-flops as he stood in between Livingston—who wore an all-black ‘fit and white sneakers—and Vida, donning a black top and jeans.
Meanwhile, Camila stood next to her doppelgänger daughter sporting a white mesh top and green athleisure pants, while Levi stood next to his mom wearing a white, long-sleeved henley shirt and navy shorts.
The family’s day at the park is the group’s first public outing since April, when they all coordinated black-and-white outfits while attending the Mack, Jack & McConaughey Gala together in Austin, Texas.
But while it’s rare for the McConaughey crew to step out as a unit, Matthew has recently found himself spending more time with his eldest. In fact, the teenager shared a peek at his first feature film The Lost Bus, in which he starred opposite his dad, on Instagram June 8, captioning the post, “My first role in a feature film.. how cool is that?”
And that experience surely brought the Lincoln Lawyer star and his son closer together, though Levi has been open about how unbreakable their bond is, regardless.
“It never gets old, somehow neither do you,” the teen wrote in a Father’s Day Instagram post June 16. “Happy Father’s Day to papai, father dearest, poperz; dad(who we never call you by) nevertheless your [sic] the best dad we could ever ask for and we love you for every bit of it. Happy fathers day again to my tennis partner, we sweat it out.”
As for how Matthew feels about sharing a strong connection with his kids? It has had a positive impact on his work.
“Having children, I know, has made me a better artist and a better actor,” he told People last year. “Kids see things for the first time all the time. Their questions are innocent. I’ve become a better storyteller because I have kids.”
