If parents Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra were able to attend a ball, it’s only right their daughter Malti could, too.
While at the 2025 Met Gala, the Citadel actress and the Jonas Brothers singer shared how the 3-year-old felt about their fancy date night.
“I might have had to tell her that she can watch a movie today,” Priyanka explained to Emma Chamberlain for Vogue. “It’s Monday—weekdays we can’t watch movies, it’s just for the weekends. Because Mama and Daddy were going to the ball, she said, like Cinderella.”
The 42-year-old continued with a laugh, “So I was like, you can watch Cinderella today.”
These days, as parents, the couple—who married in 2018—approach their big night outs differently.
“Our daughter was around today while we were getting ready,” Nick explained. “And you know, we’re going to be checking in throughout the night. We’re having fun.”
And to add a cherry on top to what the parents called their “chic date night,” Priyanka and Nick accidentally wore perfectly coordinating outfits. (See every star’s look here.)
Priyanka, for her part, wore a black and white polka-dotted Balmain suit—as she explained, “Strong shoulders, cinched waist, classic Balmain”—which she styled with a large, black brimmed hat and bold Bulgari necklace. Meanwhile, the “Jealous” artist donned a Bianca Saunders suit, also in black and white.
“She’s got a few pieces in the exhibition tonight,” Nick added, “which is very exciting. We’ll go see those.”
On whether they coordinated, Priyanka admitted, “Surprisingly we didn’t this time, we usually always do. But we were coming with separate brands, and separate people.”
Overall, as Nick explained, the pair were just happy to be at the Met Gala with each other. After all, they made their red carpet debut there as a couple back in 2017.
“This is our big night out as mom and dad,” the 32-year-old said. “So we’re excited to kind of jump back into where our story began.”
