Here’s the situation with Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino’s kids.
As the Jersey Shorestar and his wife Lauren Sorrentino arrived at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards Sept. 7—hosted by LL Cool J at the UBS Arena in Elmont, N.Y.—the pair shared when their kids Romeo, 4, Mia, 2, and Luna, 12 months, will be allowed to watch the MTV show.
“I would hope that it would be 18,” Mike told E! News in an exclusive interview, “but I know they’ll probably sneak it.”
The 43-year-old and his wife—who tied the knot in 2018—have no problem tuning in themselves, though. (Click here to see all the red carpet fashion from the 2025 MTV VMAs.)
“We watch it. It’s funny,” Mike continued. “We love the show. I don’t know about flashbacks one—the one from when I first started—but we watch the new one.”
As for why the founder of the phrase “G.T.L.” believes fans still connect with the show—which also made Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, DJ Pauly D, Jenni “JWoww” Farley, Angelina Pivarnick, Vinney Guadagnino and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro household names—15 years after it started?
“Everyone is authentic,” Mike explained. “The fans have grown up with us, and now we’re part of their family, which is very, very cool, and we’re so very grateful for it.”
Beyond his gratitude for fans of Jersey Shore, the reality TV star is thankful for his journey from stardom to fatherhood.
“I’ll be honest with you. I’m happy to make it this far,” Mike told People in August 2023. “I was so wild in my 20s and 30s that being the family man that I am today—being eight years sober in December, a dad of two, married five years in a happy, healthy marriage—I’m killing the game.”
