Mormon Wives’ Jen Affleck Gives Birth to Baby No. 3 After Going Into Labor at Nail Salon

It’s no secret that Jen Affleck has expanded her family. 

Five days after a nail appointment that ended with her going into labor, the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star and her husband, Zac Affleck—parents to Nora, 3, and 23-month-old Lucas—have welcomed their third bundle of joy, a baby girl named Penelope.  

“Baby Penelope is here,” Jen wrote in an Instagram post July 2 alongside photos of her and Zac with their newest addition. “She is perfect.”

And she provided insight into how the birthing process went. 

“Going unmedicated was truly the most painful but empowering experience of my life,” Jen continued. “I could not have done it without Zac and my supportive doula! I’m so grateful and so happy that Penny is earth side now.”

Despite keeping the gender a mystery, Jen knew that her youngest was going to be a girl. “Nora has been hoping for a little sister, and I can tell she really wants it to be a girl,” she shared in an exclusive interview with People magazine published February 11. “I have a strong feeling it’s a girl. I’ve dreamed about this little girl for a while now, and I truly believe she’s the one I’m carrying.” 

The news comes after Jen’s June 26 TikTok highlighting the moments when her nail salon experience took the biggest turn. The video featured the 26-year-old doing squats, getting the baby’s heartbeat checked, and even lying on the floor getting her cervix checked, explaining the events with, “POV: You start having contractions at your nail appointment.”
