Nessa Diab and Colin Kaepernick are way past their honeymoon phase.
While setting the record straight around the impact the former NFL quarterback’s 2016 peaceful protest had on his career, the TV personality also revealed that she and Colin—who have been dating since 2015—tied the knot quite a while ago.
“For all the publications out there, do some research,” Nessa said in recent Instagram video. “I’m not Colin’s girlfriend or roommate or whatever—I’m his wife.”
As for when the couple had their nuptials? Well. The 44-year-old recently told TMZ Sports that they got married “years ago.”
The Nessa On Air host’s clarifications surrounding her and Colin’s relationship status come three years after the pair welcomed their first baby together.
“I thought long and hard about sharing our life changing news today,” she captioned an August 2022 Instagram post featuring the pair cradling their baby. “I decided to do so because today is the first day in a few weeks where I stepped out for work with a new life title—MOM.”
“Colin and I welcomed our amazing baby to the world a few weeks ago,” she continued, “and we are over the moon with our growing family.”
And just moments after sharing the news at the time, the new mom stepped out for a red carpet appearance at the 2022 MTV Awards.
“Recovering after delivery has been a journey (more on that later) and honestly I wasn’t going to share anything because this is sooooo personal to us and I realized I’m a complete mama bear,” she added in her caption. “Colin is the most amazing dad and I’m soooo grateful that he is by our side for every moment of this journey.”
More recently, the duo stepped out together for the first time as parents during the 2025 Met Gala.
“As a mom, it’s not just making sure I look good on the outside—it’s also feeling amazing on the inside,” Nessa told Vogue ahead of the lavish ceremony in May. “And for a lot of parents out there who have a toddler, trying to figure out childcare and all these things can be a bit stressful, so it’s also finding a way to not let the stress show on my face and my body.”
“Mom and dad are stepping out on the red carpet, and we celebrate each other and we encourage each other,” she gushed. “Hopefully you get to see that when you see us tonight.”
