Though One Battle After Another, the massively acclaimed and Oscar-contending Paul Thomas Anderson film, is still going strong in theaters, it will also become available for at-home viewing this week, The Hollywood Reporter can exclusively report.
The Warner Bros. production will make its digital debut this coming Friday, Nov. 14, on participating platforms including AppleTV, Amazon Prime Video and Fandango at Home. And will then arrive on 4K UHD, Blu-Ray and DVD on Tuesday, Jan. 20, two days before the announcement of the nominees for the 98th Academy Awards.
Later in the spring of 2026, One Battle After Another will also become available in collectible steelbook packaging in 4K UHD. Unlike the regular 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD editions, this version will include special features about the film created by Anderson himself.
Anderson’s film centers on a revolutionary turned washed-up stoner (Leonardo DiCaprio) who is currently raising his self-reliant daughter (Chase Infiniti) off the grid years after his wife and her mother (Teyana Taylor) went into hiding. His past catches up to him when an old nemesis (Sean Penn) resurfaces, and his daughter disappears, prompting him to turn to old friends (Benicio del Toro and Regina Hall) for help.
One Battle After Another is widely considered a — and in many circles the — best picture Oscar frontrunner. Anderson himself is expected to seriously contend for his first-ever Oscar victory, after 11 prior noms, in both the directing and writing categories. The film’s aforementioned sextet of principal stars are also very much in contention — DiCaprio and Infiniti in the lead acting categories, the others in the supporting acting categories.
