Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater are flying high.
The couple have hit the 2025 Oscars ceremony, and their chemistry is already defying gravity.
Just before host Conan O’Brien kicked off the ceremony, the couple met up inside the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles to share a sweet hug.
And, they’ve both dressed to impress. For her part, Ariana—who is nominated for the Actress in a Supporting Role category for her role as Wicked’s Glinda—donned a bubbly Schiaparelli ballgown on the red carpet before changing into a ruby red sparkly dress to kick off the ceremony with a rendition of “Over the Rainbow,” and “Defying Gravity” alongside Cynthia Erivo.
Ethan, meanwhile, who plays Boq in the movie musical, kept it simple in a black tuxedo. (See every star here.)
While the couple have strayed away from walking the carpet together throughout award season, they’ve stolen sweet moments inside many of the ceremonies, including at the Critics Choice Awards where they were spotted gazing lovingly at one another.
And while Ethan and Ariana have undoubtable chemistry, the “yes and?” singer has held plenty of space for her other half when it concerns Wicked, Cynthia.
The pair—whose press tour soon became beloved among fans, with both Cynthia and Ariana often ending up in tears as they gushed over their experience—have never shied away from expressing their love for one another.
As Cynthia noted at the SAG Awards, “This film brought us together, but it’s not the thing that keeps us together. We were lucky because we got to meet each other on this project, but when the project goes away, we’re still good friends. That’s still my sister. It’s not this that’s keeping us together.”
In fact, the Tony winner even makes sure her costar is involved in one of her beauty rituals. “I literally FaceTime her when I do my nails,” Cynthia joked. “That’s like a standing appointment.”
Meanwhile, Ariana, too, has spoken to the bond they now share.
“To work with someone who is just absolutely in their own league as a talent in the world—there’s no one like her,” she said on Penn Badgley‘s podcast Podcrushed in June. “To just feel like we somehow speak the same language and somehow we’re destined to do this together and to feel safe every single day together and hold space.”
The Grammy winner continued, “To have that—the love that we have and trust that we have and deep love that we have for each other is—I think it all kind of happened the way it did because of that and because we were supposed to be in each other’s lives, I really do.”
