John Legend and Chrissy Teigen’s daughter just might be the next Joan Rivers.
After all, the couple revealed at the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party March 2 that their eldest daughter, Luna, 8, is considered the fashion police in their household.
“Luna looked at me like,’” John—who wore a Conclave-inspired black tunic—detailed to E! News on the red carpet, feigning a side-eyed expression. “She’s always shading me.” (For more from John, Chrissy and every celebrity on the red carpet, tune into E! News tonight, March 3, at 11 p.m.)
Chrissy, who wore a white Andrew Kwon gown with a sweetheart neckline paired with Lorraine Schwartz jewelry and a sphere-shaped Judith Leiber bag, agreed, chiming in that the 8-year-old doesn’t just critique dad.
“Luna’s a very ‘Modest Molly,’ we call her,” Chrissy explained, noting she gets feedback “any time I have, like, any cleavage or leg.”
When it came to her after-party look, the model admitted Luna didn’t hold back. As Chrissy put it, “So she was like, ‘Oh at least there’s no leg.’”
John emphasized that Luna will make it known when she doesn’t approve of a look, adding, “[She’ll say] like, ‘Cover up.’”
While the couple—who also share kids Miles, 6, Esti, 2, and Wren, 21 months—got their dose of criticism for their outfits, Chrissy admitted that getting ready can be overwhelming in their home. “It’s chaos, the babies are everywhere,” she explained. “I do glam right in my kitchen.”
Of course, the pair—who tied the knot in 2013—deemed the lead up worth it, gushing over how much they love the annual star-studded after-party.
“We see them setting it up and we get excited,” Chrissy gushed. “This is the biggest carpet of the year so it’s really exciting and it’s so fun. The crowd inside is so loose. There’s no like, security.”
And given it’s a parents’ night out, John also lauded its proximity to the couple’s Beverly Hills digs.
“It’s really close to home,” John gushed. “It’s very close to our house, we drive past it every day on the way to school. We just roll out of bed and we end up here.”
