Scarlett Johansson was more than a superhero at the 2025 Oscars.
In fact, the Avengers star arrived at the 97th Academy Awards—hosted by Conan O’Brien March 2 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles—wearing a stunning velvet gown that made her feel like royalty.
“I’m wearing Thierry Mugler and these incredible De Beers diamonds,” Scarlett told Zuri Hall during Live From E!: The Oscars, “which make me feel like a queen.”
The 40-year-old, who complemented her navy blue velvet gown with matching elbow-length gloves, added about the diamonds, “I’m obsessed. They’ll go back at the end of the night.” (Click here to see all of the 2025 Oscars red carpet fashion.)
Scarlett—who is scheduled to present during the ceremony, as is Selena Gomez, Oprah Winfrey and Halle Berry—also took a moment to chat about another obsession: Her Jurassic World: Rebirth costar Jonathan Bailey.
“He’s just got it all going on,” she continued, “and he’s such a wonderful man and he’s an incredible actor and he’s just a delicious treat.”
And while Scarlett loves Jonathan—whose movie Wicked is nominated for Best Picture at the event, alongside Anora, The Brutalist, A Complete Unknown, Conclave, Dune: Part Two, Emilia Pérez, I’m Still Here, Nickel Boys and The Substance—she’s just as grateful for the rest of her Jurassic World: Rebirth cast, including Mahershala Ali.
“We made a family,” she shared. “We’re definitely shooting in some pretty crazy conditions. Nobody went into doing Jurassic World being like, ‘This will be a cakewalk.’ It’s a climate and environment that is uninhabitable in most cases. So we really banded together as a cast, and it was wonderful.”
Though Scarlett was not a nominee during the night’s events, she returned to the awards show as a two-time nominee. In 2020, the actress was nominated in two categories, including Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role for Marriage Story and Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role for Jojo Rabbit.
