Welcome home Patrick Mahomes.
The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback had his wife Brittany Mahomes by his side as he received a warm welcome from his alma mater Texas Tech University Feb. 24. Patrick and Brittany made it a date night as they had courtside seats to watch the Texas Tech Red Raiders face off against the Houston Cougars at United Supermarkets Arena.
Keeping things festive, the 29-year-old quarterback rocked his school’s merch as he cheered on the sidelines and even made his way close to the court while the home team executed plays. For her part, Brittany—who shares Sterling, 4, Bronze, 2, and newborn daughter newborn Golden with Patrick—sat and cheered beside him.
Following the game, the university showed Patrick some love in a post featuring pics of him enjoying the game. Alongside the photo carousel, the Feb. 24 Instagram post simply read, “Back home.”
Patrick—who also debuted a new post-season haircut—proved that he wasn’t beyond celebrating with the students as he eagerly watched on as a student nailed a full-court putt for a prize during halftime. After the winning moment, Patrick leaped in the air and celebrated the victory with the winner. Unfortunately, Texas Tech fell short of a win 69-61.
The couple’s latest date night came weeks after the Chiefs suffered a Super Bowl upset against the Philadelphia Eagles, who dashed their hopes of winning the big game three consecutive times.
However, Patrick and Brittany have been spending their off season locked in with their team of kids.
Indeed, it was a weekend of celebration for the couple marked Sterling’s 4th birthday with a flamingo-themed bash.
Brittany shared pictures of Sterling showing off her turquoise swimsuit printed with flamingos and her fabulous birthday cake that featured flamingos around an infinity pool. And in honor of her daughter’s big day, Brittany penned a sweet tribute.
“Sterling Skye is 4,” Brittany wrote in a Feb. 20 Instagram post alongside several sweet pics of the birthday girl. “This sweetest, most kind little girl ever! I thank god everyday for choosing me to be your mom, you have taught me so much about life and what matters most and I truly am so thankful you made me a mama!”
“You are the best big sister to Golden & Bronze and they are so lucky to have you guiding them,” she continued, “your Mom and Dad love you beyond and more. keep being you baby girl!!!”
