Kate Middleton’s kids are always close by.

Or, at least their initials are. Indeed, the Princess of Wales, 43, recently showcased a gold necklace featuring three charms representing the first initial of her and Prince William’s kids Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7.

At her Sept. 11 outing to the Sudbury Silk Mills, she not only wore the meaningful accessory, but also made a fashion statement with a plaid gray pantsuit with a black top underneath, her brown hair flowing around a pair of matching gold hoops.

Kate’s subtle tribute to her and William’s trio comes just days after he shared an update on George, Charlotte and Louis. And it seems they’re developing their own talents—specifically in music.

“I’m definitely not a drummer,” the Prince of Wales, 40, said on a visit to a youth group on Sept. 9, per Hello! magazine. “I’m happy to see you do it. If my youngest was here, he’d have a go because he’s practicing at the moment. I wish I started when I was your age.”

And while he noted his own music skills “just fell away” over the years due to his lack of talent in reading music, it’s something he’s made sure to instill in his children.

“I make sure my children learn music because I love music,” he added, “and it’s crucial—really important.”

The royal couple has spoken previously about the enriching arts activities they partake in with their kids. Earlier this week, Kate shared per People during a Sept. 8 visit to the National Federation of Women’s Institutes in London that she and the kids spent the summer “crafting in every corner of the house.”

And the arts aren’t the only area where Kate and her family flourish. Last month, she also shared her passion for spending time in nature with family.

“Summer is a season for abundance,” she shared in the voiceover of an Aug. 13 video shared to Instagram reflecting on the season. “Just as the flowers bloom and the fruits ripen, we too are reminded of our own potential for growth.”

She added, “As we bask in the sunlit hours, friends and families come together: playing, connecting, being present—embracing the joy to be found in even the most fleeting of moments and shared experiences.”
