Forget a driver’s license—Olivia Rodrigo is old enough to hit a new milestone.
The “Vampire” singer celebrated her 22nd birthday on Feb. 20 alongside close friends, including singer Conan Gray and former Bizaardvark castmate Madison Hu—and while the star may not be living the teenage dream anymore, she still looks like she couldn’t be happier.
She started her special day with a coffee that had latte art reading “Happy Birthday,” before enjoying sub sandwiches on the beach in a red one-piece swimsuit, as seen in photos shared to her Instagram Story. Olivia topped off the festivities with a silly yet celebratory night-in with Madison and Conan, who treated her to a banana-shaped cake and the word game “Bananagrams.”
Olivia—who entered the spotlight at age 12 in An American Girl: Grace Stirs Up Success—also shared birthday shoutouts from celebs such as Billy Joel, The Kid Laroi, Paris Hilton, Tate McRae and bestie Iris Apatow.
“happy bday twinnnnnnnn @oliviarodrigo we’re lucky to have you!!!!!!!” the Kid Laroi shared on his Instagram story, while Paris wrote, “Happy Birthday @oliviarodrigo Love you Sis!” on a photo of the pair behind a DJ booth.
Meanwhile, Billy Joel, 75, shared some of their memories together in an Instagram Reel set to Oliva’s 2021 single “deja vu,” in which she mentions his name and music with the lyrics, “I bet that she knows Billy Joel because you played her Uptown Girl” and “But she doesn’t know that I was the one who taught you Billy Joel.” The unlikely friends have since appeared as guests at each other’s concerts, singing the song together.
As for who else Olivia has been hanging out with as of late? The Disney Channel alum was more recently seen with boyfriend and Enola Holmes actor Louis Partridge at the 2025 Grammy Awards. And the same evening, the “Traitor” singer was spotted hugging her fellow former Disney star Sabrina Carpenter four years after their love triangle with Joshua Bassett, who played Olivia’s romantic interest on High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.
So, what’s next for Olivia in her 22nd year? At the October premiere of her GUTS World Tour Netflix special, she told E! that she would love to return to acting.
“I love telling stories in songs but I’m not opposed to telling stories in film too,” Olivia shared. “I would really be into that. Who knows? We’ll see where the wind takes me.”
