Rachel McAdams and Dylan O’Brien bring office politics to the beach in the trailer for Sam Raimi‘s horror feature Send Help.

20th Century Studios is set to release the survival film Jan. 30, 2026. Dennis Haysbert, Chris Pang, Edyll Ismail, Xavier Samuel, Thaneth Warakulnukroh and Emma Raimi round out the cast.

Send Help centers on co-workers Linda (McAdams) and Bradley (O’Brien), who find themselves as the only survivors on a deserted island after their plane crashes on the way to a company event.

“As an executive, I see no value in you,” O’Brien tells McAdams in the trailer. “You know we have the Bangkok merger coming up. Prove me wrong.”

After the crash, McAdams informs O’Brien about their changing dynamics: “You are stuck with an asshole boss, just like I was. Although I’m betting I’m a much nicer boss than you would have ever been — except for maybe this part.”

Marking Raimi’s return to the horror genre, Send Help has a script from Mark Swift and Damian Shannon. Raimi and Zainab Azizi serve as producers.

The Hollywood Reporter exclusively reported back in 2019 that the project was in the works.

Raimi is known for such horror titles as the Evil Dead franchise and Army of Darkness but hasn’t helmed a movie in the space since 2009’s Drag Me to Hell.

His more recent directorial projects include 2013’s Oz the Great and Powerful and 2022’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. McAdams played a role in the latter film.

Last month, O’Brien told THR about a recent conversation between himself and Raimi regarding Send Help. “He was like, ‘I love the movie. It’s weird. It’s wacky. I think a lot of people might love it, too. I also think some might not,’” O’Brien recalled. “And I was like, ‘Well, that’s great.’ To me, we’ve succeeded if that’s the case.”
