Regina King, Jamie Lee Curtis and Maude Apatow Among 2025 WIF Honorees

Jamie Lee Curtis, Maude Apatow, Tessa Thompson, Dede Gardner, Gabrielle Nadig, Mara Brock Akil and Regina King are among the leading ladies who will be celebrated at this year’s WIF Honors ceremony.

The event, which will take place Nov. 6 at the Beverly Hilton and be hosted by Atsuko Okatsuka, will be themed “Unity,” highlighting that a shared commitment to equity, sustainability and stories that represent the breadth of the human experience can transform culture.

WIF (Women in Film, Los Angeles) will present the Crystal Award for Advocacy in Film to Tessa Thompson, Nia DaCosta (honored in absentia), Dede Gardner and Gabrielle Nadig for their upcoming film Hedda, and the Crystal Award for Advocacy in TV to Mara Brock Akil, Judy Blume (honored in absentia) and Regina King for their collaboration on Netflix series Forever.

Curtis will receive the Jane Fonda Humanitarian Award — named in 2021 for its inaugural recipient Jane Fonda — for both her artistic legacy and philanthropic impact. And celebrating WIF’s 20-year partnership with Max Mara, Maude Apatow — fresh off her directorial debut Poetic License — will be honored with the annual WIF Max Mara Face of the Future Award, which recognizes a rising star who embodies style and grace.

“This year’s WIF honorees exemplify how artists are using their voices to drive change,” WIF CEO Kirsten Schaffer said in a statement. “From rising talent like Maude Apatow to legends like Jamie Lee Curtis and Mara Brock Akil, their inspiring work, both on and off screen, reminds us that solidarity and connectedness are what will protect us, and our ability to tell stories that reflect our full humanity.”

WIF Honors is an annual gala that raises funds for Women in Film’s education, career and advocacy programs. Tickets are available here.
