Denise Richards is done glossing over her personal drama.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum broke her silence on her divorce from estranged husband Aaron Phypers—who filed to end the marriage in July—telling her social media followers she couldn’t continue “posting on Instagram like nothing’s going on… because there’s something obviously going on.”
“It’s so hard to go through a divorce,” Denise, 54, said in a video shared on the platform Aug. 21. “This isn’t my first one, it’s my second one, and I never thought I’d get divorced again. This is why I always say, ‘Never, say never.’”
While the actress—who is mom to daughters Sami Sheen, 21, and Lola Sheen, 20, with ex-husband Charlie Sheen as well as adopted daughter Eloise Richards, 14—got candid about her breakup, she did not share details about the ongoing proceedings, including the temporary restraining order she was granted after accusing Aaron, 52, of physical abuse. (He has denied the allegations.)
“There’s circumstances around my divorce that are difficult to talk about,” she continued, adding, “One day I will talk about it, when the time is right.”
In the meantime, Denise expressed her gratitude to her fans for supporting her amid the ordeal.
“I just wanted to say thank you so much,” she offered. “It makes me want to cry seeing your messages, because this is a very difficult time and you guys are all helping me through it.”
In his July 7 paperwork, Aaron—whose 2018 wedding to Denise was featured on season nine of RHOBH—cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the demise of the relationship, according to documents obtained by E! News at the time. He also asked to be awarded spousal support.
Additionally, the entrepreneur noted in a separate filing that he had not earned any income since closing down his business in 2024, while estimating Denise’s earnings at over $250,000 per month. He went on to cite brand deals, appearances, TV work and her OnlyFans page as her streams of revenue.
