Denise Richards is wild about her new personal chapter.
So much so, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star underwent a hair makeover, debuting what her hairstylist Chris McMillian called a more “natural” ‘do.
“Finally all grown out and healthy long BRONDE hair,” Chris wrote on Instagram July 31, explaining that Denise had “bleached hair dyed over with brown” one year ago.
But thanks to “consistent trims” and a new dye job by colorist KC Carhart-Speers, the salon owner said the Denise now has hair that suits her “natural vive.”
“Loose long layers loose movement with those big blue eyes and infectious smile,” he continued. “Ive known Denise 30 years now and is the kindest sweetest most loving human ever all we do is LAUGH.”
Indeed, the54-year-old had a blast with her hair transformation. Sharing a photo of herself with noticeably more defused highlights in her hair, she wrote on her own Instagram Story, “Thank you Chris for the haircut & making me laugh today.”
Denise’s new ‘do comes amid her divorce with her husband of six years Aaron Phypers. In court documents obtained by E! News, Aaron listed July 4 as the date of his separation from the Wild Things actress and cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for break up.
However, in a filing of her own, Denise accused the Bold and the Beautiful alum of physical and emotional abuse during their relationship—an allegation Aaron has vehemently denied.
“I want to address recent rumors and speculation that have surfaced regarding my relationship with my wife,” he told People July 17. “Let me be unequivocally clear: I have never physically or emotionally abused Denise—or anyone.”
Calling his ex’s accusations “completely false and deeply hurtful,” Aaron continued, “Denise and I, like many couples, have faced our share of challenges, but any suggestion of abuse is categorically untrue.”
He added, “I have always tried to approach our marriage with love, patience, and respect.”
