Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost‘s Father’s Day plans might be a Saturday night live decision.
The actress revealed she’s been so busy with work lately that she hasn’t had time to orchestrate her family’s celebrations for the upcoming holiday on Sunday, June 15.
“I have to think of some Father’s Day plans!” Johansson exclusively told E! News at the New York City premiere of her new film The Phoenician Scheme. “I think we’re going to be on the Jurassic World tour for Father’s Day, so I don’t know. I’ll have to scare up some kind of, what do you get somebody for that? A dinosaur egg?”
The 40-year-old—who shares 3-year-old son Cosmo with Jost in addition to daughter Rose, 10, with ex Romain Dauriac—also shared why filming the new Wes Anderson-directed movie was quite a different experience for her family than shooting the upcoming Jurassic World sequel.
“Sometimes I do [bring them], but at this stage I feel like unless everybody else is on vacation, it’s so disruptive to everybody’s schedules and I’m working all the time,” Johansson explained. “When we were doing Jurassic World it was over the summertime, so I got to bring my family to a lot of fun locations. But this one, it’s so much about the work.”
Plus, the Oscar nominee added, “Wes has created this whole environment that feels like a troop of actors and you’re kind of all dug in and focused. And kids can be distracting.”
As for hosting the season 50 finale of Saturday Night Live earlier this month, Johansson likened the experience to a crazy dream.
“It felt like a runaway train and by the end the wheels and bottom were all falling off and it was crazy,” she reflected. “It felt like a big blur, but you try to take your moments as you’re doing it to look around and appreciate the uniqueness of what you’re experiencing and how special it is.”
