Selena Gomez says Benny Blanco‘s eyebrows are perfect.
Indeed, while the Only Murders in the Building star was supportive as her makeup artist Hung Vanngo plucked her fiancé’s unibrow, as documented on Benny’s TikTok March 22, she made sure that the changes weren’t too extreme.
“I wanted it to still look like him,” Selena said in a March 25 teaser clip of her and Benny’s March 27 appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show. She then sighed, “This was not my idea.”
Emphasizing to Drew Barrymore that she didn’t do the tweezing herself, she gushed over Hung—and his work—adding, “he’s the best.”
The 32-year-old shared her approval of his light hand, noting, “It’s subtle, is what I’m trying to say.”
Benny, 37, joked that Selena’s makeup artist had been trying to convince him to shape up his eyebrows for a while. “He begged me,” the music producer explained. “He’s been begging me for so long.”
He then quipped to Drew, “Your eyebrows look good!” And when Drew said she’s been shedding some of her eyebrow hair, Benny added, “You can have some of mine, I have so much.”
Indeed, Benny revealed as much when he shared the video of Hung cleaning up his eyebrows—during which Selena can be seen directing Hung in the process.
“Do it light,” she requested, “because I love him.”
And it seems the makeup artist followed through on the directions as when Benny saw the result of his new brows, he admitted, “I can’t even tell the difference.”
And while Selena may not want to change a thing, Benny’s appearance was the punchline of a joke at the 2025 Golden Globes.
“Selena Gomez is here, double nominee tonight for Emilia Pérez and Only Murders [in the Building] and she’s here tonight with her new fiancé Benny Blanco,” host Nikki Glaser said in her opening monologue at the January award show, “and Benny Blanco is here because of the genie who granted him that wish.”
And while the comedian did note she received permission from the couple, Benny laughs off any jokes at his expense. On March 19, he made his thoughts clear in a TikTok video, where he wrote, “Funny guys get hot girls.”
