Seth Meyers is mourning a heartbreaking loss.
The Late Night With Seth Meyers host shared that his family’s dog Frisbee has died at age 14.
“RIP to Frisbee, our OG IG who I was happy to go grey with,” Seth wrote on Instagram Aug. 19. “She was at her best curled in your lap and patient when we dressed her up like a pilgrim. Thanks for 14 amazing years, girl.”
Alongside the touching message, Seth—who shares sons Ashe, 9, and Axel, 7, and daughter Adelaide, 3, with wife Alexi Ashe—also posted several photos of his family posing with the Italian Greyhound. In one pic, Frisbee planted a sweet kiss on Seth’s face while he snapped a selfie. In another shot, the tiny pup poked her head out of the covers while snuggling in a bed.
In light of the tragic news, several of Seth’s former Saturday Night Live costars offered their condolences, with Rachel Dratch commenting, “Noooo! Frisbeeee! Sorry for your loss.”
“Oh nooooo!!! So sorry buddy!!!” Kenan Thompson added, while Amy Poehler wrote, “Frisbee forever.”
However, one Saturday Night Live alum who was notably absent from the comments? Andy Samberg, who has previously admitted to having a longtime rivalry with Seth’s late doggo.
“I will never back off that,” Andy explained during a July 8 episode of the Good Hang podcast. “That dog sucks, dude.”
In fact, Seth revealed that the Palm Springs actor went to hilarious lengths to prove his dislike for the dog one year.
“Here’s a true thing he did,” the comedian told the audience during a February episode of his Late Nght With Seth Meyers show. “I sent our Christmas card—Frisbee’s in it every year. He scratched out her face like a serial killer and mailed it back.”
And while both Seth and Andy can laugh about the feud, Seth insisted that his pal’s feelings about his furry friend are real. As he put it, “He really hates my dog and he’s hated my dog since she was little and now she’s 14.”
