It’s an extra special date night for John Mulaney and Olivia Munn.
The former Saturday Night Live writer and the Newsroom alum attended SNL 50: The Anniversary Special at New York City’s Rockefeller Center on Feb. 16. (See every star on the red carpet here.)
For the milestone occasion, John—who shares son Malcolm Mulaney, 3, and daughter Méi Mulaney, 5 months, with Olivia—stepped out in style, wearing a classic suit on the red carpet.
However, you may have missed Olivia, who skipped the carpet but was later spotted in the crowd next to Fred Armisen on the telecast.
Fellow celebs who made the guest list include John’s pal Pete Davidson, Kim Kardashian, Miley Cyrus and Tom Hanks.
For John and Olivia—who tied the knot in July—this star-studded outing comes three months after John hosted SNL for the sixth time.
“I hope you’ve been great, I’ve been great,” the comedian said during his November monologue. “My wife and I just welcomed a baby girl into our family.”
“It’s so nice to be here and look up at all of you,” the 42-year-old joked with the audience. “My whole life is looking down now.”
That same month, John shared an update on family life, specifically after navigating Olivia’s breast cancer diagnosis.
“We found ourselves in a pretty wild and a pretty joyful situation,” he told E! News at the time. “So we’ve had a really eventful, amazing couple years with a lot of you know, dealing with Olivia’s cancer and a lot of tight and scary moments sometimes.”
“But we were talking the other day that, like in the past couple years, we’ve laughed so much through everything,” John noted. “So I don’t mean to sound corny or overly saccharine, but we’ve been so tight and had a lot of fun, despite everything.”
