Sofia Richie is making a major change for the summer.
The model said goodbye to her long blonde locks as she debuted a new French bob hairstyle on social media.
In a post on her Instagram page June 21, Sofia showed off her fresh cut—distinguished from a classic bob by its shorter length and more effortless aesthetic—as she posed in a lush garden setting, donning a black tank top and a striped ankle-length skirt with dark oval sunglasses. She also took a selfie in the sunny locale to highlight the hairdo’s rounded shape.
The 26-year-old—who shares daughter Eloise, 13 months, with husband Elliot Grainge—also offered her followers another close-up look at the chin-length hairdo with a mirror selfie, tucking her hair behind her ear as she sported a pink crewneck sweater and stud earrings.
Of course, Sofia isn’t the only celeb who’s recently hopped on the bob hair trend.
Jenna Bush Hager also opted for a similar short coiffe to kick off the summer season, and she did so in dramatic fashion: by getting a trim live on air in the final moments of Jenna & Friends June 16, inspired by her guest co-host Leslie Bibb.
During the broadcast, the White Lotus star’s hairstylist Chris McMillan lobbed a few inches off of Jenna’s mane, which she officially debuted on the show the following day.
“This is my hair,” Jenna declared with Leslie by her side. “I feel a little… You know that ’90s movie Single White Female, where you try to copy somebody to such an extent? You made this haircut so famous, and then I used your hairstylist, who is a star, to get the exact same haircut, and I’m feeling a little strange.”
And while Leslie raved about Jenna’s new look, the TV host admitted it may take some getting used to.
“There’s a lot of change happening and I feel a little embarrassed by the attention,” she confessed. “I know, the people who work with me are like, ‘Mother loves attention,’ but I felt a little embarrassed.”
