There’s nothing upside down about Mason Dye’s relationship news.
The Stranger Things star—who plays Jason Carver on the Netflix series—and his longtime love Carmen Joiner are engaged.
Indeed, while the pair kept the news of their proposal quiet—Mason popped the question on Valentine’s Day—Carmen revealed they plan on saying “I do” on June 7, 2026 at the Wychmere Beach Club—which was the site of their engagement photos.
Making the occasion even more special, they will tie the knot as they mark their fifth anniversary as a couple, and their family and friends will be part of the celebration.
“When we started planning the wedding, we knew we wanted a destination in a fun place since our friends and family were from all over the states,” Carmen told People in an interview published Aug 7. “We also wanted something that felt coastal and romantic, something on the water, and somewhere all of our friends and family would be excited to visit.”
“We’re so excited to make lifelong memories there with all of our favorite people,” she added. “But most of all, we just can’t wait to finally be married!”
Ahead of their wedding day, Carmen and Mason gave the world a sneak peek of their venue with their beachside engagement photos.
“Still feels like a dream. June 7th can’t come soon enough,” she captioned the July 26 Instagram carousel featuring her and Mason posing together on at the beachside location. “& a huge thank you to @rebeccacastonguayphotography for the most perfect engagement shoot, we’ll be smiling at these forever.”
Mason and Carmen’s engagement news was shared in a joint Feb 15 Instagram post that shows the moment the Flowers in the Attic actor was down on one knee popping the question, the pair sharing a kiss and Carmen flashing her ring for the camera.
Alongside pics of the lakeside proposal, Carmen wrote, “here’s to forever.”
The pair’s news was celebrated by Mason’s Stranger Things costar Caleb McLaughlin who wrote, “Woah congrats!,” and friend and Bachelor Nation alum Rachel Kirkconnell who added, “I love you guys so muchhhh.”
