Stranger Things’ Sadie Sink and Maya Hawke Reunite Outside of the Upside Down at Met Gala 2025

Watch:Stranger Things’ Sadie Sink, Maya Hawke Reunite Outside the Upside Down at Met Gala 2025

Sadie Sink and Maya Hawke are more than halfway happy at the 2025 Met Gala.

After all, the Stranger Things stars had a totally tubular reunion at the biggest night in fashion, with its stunning theme “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” May 5.

Sadie arrived in an all-black custom Prada ensemble featuring a deep V-cut bodice and billowing skirt that she accessorized with a lacey shawl and matching platform pumps. Her pearl earrings were on full display with her hair in an effortless updo. Meanwhile, Maya, also in custom Prada, opted for a peach-pink gown with a cascading sheer beige cape, which she finished off with a pink purse and forest green pointed heels. (See every star at the gala.)

The costar’s superfine night out comes months after the hit Netflix series wrapped its fifth and final season. With fans eager to learn the fate of the beloved crew from Hawkins, Maya—the daughter of Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman—promises that it’s worth the wait.

“We’re making, basically, eight movies,” she explained on Penn Badgley‘s Podcrushed podcast in June. “The episodes are very long.”

As for what she’d want for her character Robin Buckley? To be a hero.

“I would love to die and get my hero’s moment,” she told Rolling Stone in 2022. “I’d love to die with honor, as any actor would. But I love the way that the Duffer Brothers love their actors. The reason that they write so beautifully for me and for everyone else is because they fall in love with their actors and their characters, and they don’t want to kill them. I think that’s a beautiful quality that they have, and I wouldn’t wish it away.”

For Sadie’s part, she reflected on the weight of Stranger Things coming to an end. While it’s bittersweet, she’s looking forward to the future, which most recently includes a starring role in the upcoming Spider-Man sequel opposite Tom Holland.

“I’m a little nervous about it,” she told Teen Vogue this April. “You don’t have this set show that you’re going back with this set gig lined up. You have to chase the projects you want. I hope I’m in a position where it’s like I’m allowing opportunities to unfold for me. I’d also love to maybe produce something.
