Win or lose, the Mahomes family is still golden.
Indeed, despite the Kansas City Chiefs losing to the Philadelphia Eagles 22-40 at the Super Bowl Feb. 9 in New Orleans, Brittany Mahomes supported husband Patrick Mahomes with kids Sterling Skye Mahomes, 3, and Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III, 2. Meanwhile, the newest addition to their family, Golden Raye Mahomes—born less than a month ago on Jan. 12—was kept hidden amid her dad’s upset game.
Although it was a low point for the Chiefs—who previously won the Super Bowl in 2024 and 2023—Patrick previously shared how he prepared for what would’ve been a history-making game.
“I think it’s just preparation and relying on your teammates,” the NFL quarterback told reporters during a Feb. 3 press conference. “You don’t make the game bigger than what it is. You prepare for these moments your entire life and your teammates do the same.”
“And whenever you put all that work in together,” he continued, “you can go out there and do special things and that’s what we do, we just continue to work and don’t make it bigger than what it is, just play our best at the best moments.”
The athlete also addressed any criticism that might be directed at the Chiefs ahead of the Super Bowl.
“We just go out there and play the game that we love,” Patrick said, “the way that we feel like is the right way. And all that other stuff is kind of outside noise.”
“Hopefully we’re just giving people a great product to watch,” he added. “And they can see the love for the game that we have.”
