This game night opportunity is more than a silver lining.
Philadelphia Eagles megafan Bradley Cooper, donning all-green, stepped out at Super Bowl LIX Feb. 9 to call in his favorite team moments after John Hamm introduced the Kansas City Chiefs at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.
The Maestro star, holding a young Eagles fan in his arms, shouted in the mic, “From the city of brotherly love, your 2024 NFC Champions—The E-A-G-L-E-S!”
While Bradley cheers on the birds without girlfriend Gigi Hadid, he does have his and ex Irina Shayk‘s 7-year-old daughter Lea by his side at the game. But the couple did show out for the Eagles together at the playoff game against the Los Angeles Rams in Philadelphia Jan. 19, where the model donned an oversized blue and green jacket, aviator shades and a headband, while Bradley wore a vintage Eagles-branded jacket.
Gigi—who shares daughter Khai, 4, with ex Zayn Malik—was in good spirits alongside her boyfriend of over a year, who was in full “Let’s go Birds” mode in videos shared by fans on social media.
It comes as no surprise that the couple have turned recent Eagles games into date nights. Bradley, who hails from a suburb of Philadelphia, has been an outspoken Eagles fan throughout his time in the public eye.
In fact, the Oscar nominee admitted that he’d prefer the team to win a Super Bowl over getting any Academy Awards for his movies, telling Howard Stern on his eponymous radio program in 2023, “I gotta go Eagles. I know. I’m sick.”
Of course, Gigi’s choice to support Bradley’s team is especially romantic during this particular match-up, as her bestie Taylor Swift is also attending the game—obviously in support of her own boyfriend Travis Kelce and the Chiefs. While Gigi has yet to make an appearance in a suite alongside Taylor at any of the now-23 games she’s attended, their friendship goes back to 2014—and runs deeper than any football rivalry.
“As a friend, Gigi is one of the first people I go to for advice,” Taylor gushed of her pal in a Harper’s Bazaar feature in 2017. “Gigi’s #1 rule is to treat people the way she’d want to be treated, so she’s on time (or early) to work, says hello to everyone on set, asks them how they are, and actually listens to their response.”
What’s more, Bradley and Gigi, who have been dating since October 2023, have proven time and again that while they’re not pro Chiefs, they are very pro Taylor. On top of nights out with the “Fortnight” singer, the duo attended Taylor’s Eras Tour concert together in Paris 2024, and Gigi has attended several more of Taylor’s shows solo.
