I recently learned that I’m 5’10.5” instead of 5’10”. On the heels of receiving this earth-shattering news, I figure it’s time to share my favorite tall girl-friendly clothing brands. As a shopping writer, I’ve tried it all, and I’ve figured out where to find styles that look like they were practically made for you.
A PR rep once explained to me that more affordable brands make clothing for the average height, 5’4”. This would explain why clothing never seemed to fit me growing up, shopping at the mall in Arkansas. And that’s not even taking into account that women’s clothing sizes literally just seem to be made up. She continued that pricier brands tend to design for “model height,” 5’10”. No wonder there seems to be a direct correlation between the price of an item and it actually fitting me.
But worry not, because I’m on a budget like everyone else. So I have both affordable and splurge-worthy clothing store recommendations for the tall gals out there. Hear all about it and also shop some of my favorite styles ahead.

Abercrombie & Fitch
Abercrombie might take the cake when it comes to height-specific sizing. They sell long and extra long pants, plus offer dresses and more in long lengths as well. I go for the long length here. Plus, let’s not forget that Abercrombie sells both standard and “Curve Love” fits for pants. Curve Love styles are a game-changer if you have curvier hips and a smaller waist like me.

I can’t believe I’m telling you this, but I’ve had the same pair of black Align leggings that I wear weekly for the past 10 years. Sure, I should probably throw them out, but all this to say, their insane quality and comfort level have yet to be duplicated.
Paige
Select Paige denim styles come in 32-inch inseams, and I can’t recommend them enough. This splurge-worthy denim only gets better with age.
