Teyana Taylor is tackling the red carpet of the 2025 Met Gala.
The “Gonna Love Me” singer arrived at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s annual Costume Institute Benefit—co-chaired this year by Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, Pharrell Williams and Vogue’s Anna Wintour—in style fit for a royal.
Leaning into the “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” theme’s “Tailored for You” dress code, Teyana sported a custom Marc Jacobs gray pinstripe suit. The suit’s nearly floor-length coat jacket had defined shoulder pads that were draped in a red velvet and silk cloak.

Leading up to fashion’s biggest night, Teyana collaborated with two-time Oscar winner Ruth Carter, who designed the costumes for Black Panther and worked with Teyana on the 2023 movie Coming 2 America.
While the Book of Clarence actress’ style was jaw-dropping at this year’s event, she has made a habit of turning heads on the first Monday in May.
At last year’s Met Gala, Teyana debuted a platinum blonde hairdo that perfectly paired with the bold crimson-colored strapless dress she sported. The stunning dress was covered in a bed of roses along the neckline and the corset bodice, as well as ruby gems that gave the illusion of raindrops—fitting for the night’s “The Garden of Time” theme for the Costume Institute’s “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion” exhibit.
In 2023, Teyana, in Thom Browne, wore a skintight black-and-white tweed dress with extreme side cutouts, built-in gloves and a floor-length train.
