It wouldn’t be the SAG Awards without the most phenomenal red carpet looks to kick off the night.
The annual award show—which brings together members of the Screen Actors Guild to honor their favorite performances—has seen over three decades of the most fabulous fashion statements. After all, attendees usually come prepared for long-awaited public reunions between friends, costars, lovers and even exes.
Throughout the years, stars like Jennifer Garner, Dakota Fanning and Sofia Vergara have set the bar high, creating the blueprint for rocking the most blinding sequined gowns on the red carpet. And while many celebs have chosen to follow in their footsteps with a little shimmer, others have opted for something a bit more subtle and chic.
Last year, Margot Robbie stole the show with her short Barbie-inspired black Schiaparelli dress that was perfectly complimented with a piece of pink fabric draping to the floor. Meanwhile, Jeremy Allen White kept it clean and classic with a cream Saint Laurent suit and Tiffany & Co. jewelry to match.
Taking it back to 2023, Zendaya was looking quite pretty in pink herself. Indeed, she turned heads at the ceremony with a showstopping rosy Valentino pink gown with silky roses of all sizes filling in the bottom of the dress. But because no ‘fit is truly complete without accessories, she pulled the look together with a curly bob and jeweled choker necklace from Bulgari.
And let’s not forget when Emma Stone bared some skin in a lingerie-inspired Alexander McQueen gown in 2017. The risqué black dress, which was covered in delicate floral embroidery, appeared to be ripping off one shoulder to reveal a sexy lace corset underneath.
Now, before your favorite stars make their way to the 2025 SAG Awards Feb. 23 at Los Angeles’ Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall, keep scrolling to see more of the best looks to ever grace the ceremony’s esteemed red carpet.
