TikToker Campbell “Pookie” Puckett Details “Very Scary” Pregnancy Ahead of First Mother’s Day With Paloma

Watch:TikToker Campbell “Pookie” Puckett Gives Birth, Welcomes First Baby With Jett Puckett

No doubt TikTok personality Campbell “Pookie” Puckett looked absolutely fire throughout her pregnancy with now 6-month-old daughter Paloma

How she felt on the other hand…

“It was a very scary time,” the influencer admitted in an exclusive interview with E! News. And not just because she was carrying her and husband Jett Puckett‘s first child.

While Campbell acknowledged she and Jett—a managing director of mergers and acquisitions—”really don’t talk that much about it,” she had to have some pre-cancer removed just a few weeks after giving birth.

“It was a lot because I knew about it while I was pregnant with Paloma,” said Campbell. “And there was nothing they could do.”

Other than keep careful tabs on her condition, which they did up until the moment she gave birth last November.

“I was being closely monitored throughout the pregnancy, so that created a lot of stress as well,” Campbell detailed. “But thankfully, everything is okay now.”

And while the whole experience was terrifying for her husband of seven years—”I can’t imagine life without Pookie, that’s for sure,” he told E! News—it left Campbell feeling even more grateful for the man she met at a Philadelphia wine bar back in 2015, when he was in business school at the University of Pennsylvania and she was working as an American Airlines flight attendant.

“The fact that I have someone that loves me unconditionally is everything,” said Campbell. “I think about the people that are going through something like that and they don’t have a support system, and my heart really goes out to them.”

The partners, “attached at the hip,” as Jett put it, have devled into parenthood with the same, uh, fire they brought to their date night ‘fit checks and the ensuing Quintessential Love fashion line they launched mere days before Paloma’s birth.

“We’ve spent pretty much every waking moment together for 10 years,” noted Jett. “It’s absolutely amazing to create all these wonderful opportunities and businesses with your spouse as just the ultimate team.”

And, yes, they’ve been enjoying huddling up with the newest member of their roster.

Their nightly bed and bathtime routine is a particular favorite of Campbell’s—”We read her a story at night, or many stories, they can go on for a while”—but the pair even revel in the more drudgerous parts of parenting.

“I’m obsessed with everything about Paloma,” Jett raved of his daughter, who’s both a good sleeper and the “quintessential travel companion”, joining them on trips to Aspen and Palm Springs. “She’s a very well-behaved baby. I’m sure that’ll change when she gets about 16, but for now she’s so happy and laughing all the time.”

Now that his Pookie has a mini me, “These four blue eyes looking back at me is the best part of my day.”

No surprise that Campbell considers choosing Paloma’s OOTD a highlight.

“It is a lot of fun,” she acknowledged, particularly now that brands like The Beaufort Bonnet Company are providing a steady supply of new pieces.

Though Paloma has two rapidly expanding closets, “I’ve had to do very little shopping,” said Campbell. And with each new shipment, “It’s just like, ‘Oh, this is something new. Let’s play dress up.'”

And hopefully in the future, Paloma will be slipping into wares from Mom and Dad’s 100 percent custom, private label brand.

“Everything we make is totally from scratch,” noted Jett. “It’s all designed, every detail by us, all the fabrics, everything are chosen by us.”

Summer and fall collections are already in the works, and they would love to tuck into a line of kids’ PJs at some point.

“That would be really cute, like Mommy and Me pajamas,” said Campbell. “We’ll see.”

Of course, meticulously crafted clothing isn’t the only item Jett is looking to pass along to his little girl.

“I’m very excited to teach my daughter, to help her grow and develop in so many ways,” said Jett. Though, he acknowledged, “Obviously, her being able to talk is the first step.”

But once she masters describing her onesies as “absolutely fire,” said Jett, “I can’t wait to teach her sports, teach her academics. I can’t wait to have real discussions with her, human to human. It’s going to be the very best part of it.”

Among his most vital lessons is that what the world needs now really is love, sweet love.

“Before we had Paloma, the number one thing that people would say when they came up to us was that we gave them hope to find the type of love that we have, or, if they’re already in a relationship, that we inspire them to build the type of love we have,” noted Jett, who estimates they’ve heard some version of that “thousands and thousands” of times when out near their Atlanta home. “But now, since we’ve had Paloma, the other thing they always say is that we inspire them to have their first child.”

And 10/10, they would recommend.

“It’s extremely rewarding,” Campbell said, adding that they’re already talking about expanding the fam.

“It gives us a whole new purpose,” agreed Jett. “I knew that having a child would make us better versions of ourselves. I think that’s what it does for everyone.”
