‘Tracker,’ ‘Matlock’ Among 10 CBS Series Pickups for 2026-27

CBS is locking down a big portion of its primetime lineup for the 2026-27 season.

The network, as it often does around this time of year, has renewed 10 primetime series for next season. CBS has ordered additional seasons of, in alphabetical order, The Amazing Race, Elsbeth, Fire Country, Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage, Matlock, NCIS, NCIS: Origins, NCIS: Sydney, Survivor and Tracker.

The big batch of renewals announced Thursday follows earlier pickups for first-year dramas Sheriff Country and Boston Blue; FBI and Ghosts, meanwhile, are in the midst of multi-season orders that will run through the 2026-27 season. Additionally, CBS has already picked up a pair of new dramas, Cupertino and Einstein, for next season.

None of the 10 renewals comes as a particular surprise. Tracker is on pace to be the most watched network entertainment series for the third season in a row, Georgie & Mandy is the most watched comedy and the others have all performed solidly so far this season (CBS has its scripted shows on hiatus currently through the end of the Winter Olympics in late February).

With 16 hours of shows locked in for next season, the list of series CBS hasn’t picked up yet is considerably shorter than the list of returnees. The network has yet to make a decision on first-year comedy DMV, drama series Watson and the music competition show The Road. Two other dramas, the FBI spinoff CIA and the Yellowstone spinoff Marshals, are set to premiere on Feb. 23 and March 1, respectively. The Neighborhood is set to end its eight-season run on the network in the spring.
