Landon Barker is all about the big things.
The “Friends With Your Ex” artist took a major step in his relationship with girlfriend Skyla Sanders when they stepped out together at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards in New York on Sept. 7. (See all the celebrities on the red carpet.)
For the outing, Landon, 21, and Skyla, 20, coordinated in all-black ensembles. He sported a black suit sans shirt to show off his chest tattoos, keeping an arm wrapped around the model, who rocked a strapless semisheer corset dress.
The music show marks their first time on a red carpet together after going Instagram official back in May. At the time, Landon shared sweet photos of the pair cuddling and a tattoo tribute of Skyla’s name on his wrist.
He captioned the snaps, “The inhale when you let it in!”
And even his dad Travis Barker and stepmom Kourtney Kardashian approve of the match, with the Blink-182 drummer commenting a heart emoji and the Kardashians star calling the couple “cuties.”
After all, Landon—who previously dated Charli D’Amelio—is not shy about expressing his love for Skyla, whose parents are Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders and model Liberty Ross.
“My bae,” Landon gushed in the comments of her Instagram photo two days before the VMAs. “Your beautiful bae.”
So, what does the couple have to look forward to at the 2025 VMAs?
Hosted by LL Cool J, the show will feature several groundbreaking performances, with Sabrina Carpenter, Alex Warren and J Balvin set to take the stage throughout the evening.
Ricky Martin—who will be honored with the Latin Icon Award—will also perform his hits, as will Mariah Carey, who will receive the Video Vanguard Award, previously bestowed upon Katy Perry, Shakira and Nicki Minaj in recent years.
Meanwhile, Busta Rhymes is taking home the inaugural Rock the Bells Visionary Award.
“Won’t ever stop!!!! Neverrrrr!!!” he wrote on Instagram ahead of the show. “Another big blessed day, another miment of magic will be happening today, more history will be made today, more flowers will be received today!!!”
Busta added, “Thank you to @mtv and the @vmas for this incredible accolade with honoring me with the first time @rockthebells visionary award celebrating my entire legacy!! Grateful!!!”
