Was DWTS’ Jenna Johnson’s Partner Corey Feldman Really Missing? The Truth

Watch:DWTS’ Corey Feldman Reunites With Partner Jenna Johnson After Going MIA

Corey Feldman didn’t just waltz off to find One-Eyed Willy’s treasure.

Shortly after the Goonies alum reunited with his Dancing With the Stars partner Jenna Johnson after seemingly going MIA, she set the record straight about his whereabouts.

“It’s so funny because everyone was like, ‘He’s missing, you haven’t heard from him,’” Jenna, 31, said during the Sept. 12 episode of the Danielle With the Stars podcast. “We were in communication the whole time. He had prior engagements he had to do, and we both knew going into this that we were going to miss some time.”

Indeed, the professional dancer admitted that she hadn’t seen Corey, 54, since DWTS announced the season 34 cast on Sept. 3. Her revelation raised eyebrows at the time, as the duo were set to start rehearsing for the show’s Sept. 16 premiere. But despite Corey’s sudden absence, Jenna noted that she was “grateful” to be back on the show.

Then, five days later, Jenna confirmed that she finally met up with The Lost Boys star. And now that they’re in practice mode, Corey has his eye on the prize.

“He comes in now to each of our rehearsals with this [mindset of] not wanting to prove people wrong,” Jenna explained on the podcast. “But he is excited to work hard and I love that. That is one of the best qualities you can ask for in a new partner. They need to want to be there, and he does.”

In fact, the choreographer—who won the competition’s Mirrorball trophy with former Bachelor Joey Graziadei last November—noted that Corey has been open to learning new dance routines that’ll help them excel on the show.

“He’s fully like, ‘I have no ballroom experience. I have no partnering experience,’” she continued. “So I love that he’s like, ‘Treat me like the biggest beginner.’ “He is hysterical. Like, really funny.”

Corey and Jenna aren’t the only duo that’ll grace the ballroom floor. Keep reading to see more notable partners in DWTS’ upcoming season…
