Kate Gosselin has no bad blood with her 21-year-old daughter Hannah Gosselin.
Seven years after Hannah—one of the TLC star’s sextuplets with ex-husband Jon Gosselin—moved in with her dad amid the former couple’s heated custody battle over son Collin Gosselin, Kate shared an update on where their mother-daughter relationship stands today.
“Hannah just called me and helped me get an Amazon list together of all the things that I have mentioned and people keep asking me for,” Kate told fans in an Aug. 14 TikTok video. “I’m really excited, because I was asking her for help. She’s really good.”
The 50-year-old also shut down speculation that she and Hannah had been estranged in the comments section. When a TikTok user told Kate that they “didn’t even know Hannah still spoke to you,” the matriarch replied, “Yep!”
“Always has,” Kate—who is also mom to twins Cara Gosselin and Mady Gosselin, 24, as well as 21-year-olds Alexis Gosselin, Aaden Gosselin, Leah Gosselin and Joel Gosselin—continued. “Don’t believe what you hear out there, constantly being shoved down your throat.”
But that doesn’t mean the drama has settled within their family. As Collin recently noted on his own TikTok page, he’s still very much estranged from Kate and his siblings.
“Born to be a team, us against the world,” he captioned a throwback photo of his siblings in an Aug. 7 post. “Forced to do it alone, and wonder everyday what our lives could’ve looked like.”
Collin added, “Forced apart, pitted against each other. All the fame and money in the world, but what about kids being kids? I will always love them more than anything. The tears I shed behind closed doors, thinking about the memories we could’ve shared.”
In the past, Collin blamed Kate for their broken family dynamics, alleging that she sent him to a facility for children with behavioral issues back in 2016 “to protect her reputation.”
By 2018, Jon and Kate were embroiled in a custody battle over Collin, with the court ultimately ruling in favor of the dad. Jon then removed Collin from the institution, taking care of him and Hannah throughout their high school years.
For her part, Kate contended that Collin was sent to the facility due to his “multiple psychiatric diagnoses.”
“For the safety of myself, his brothers and sisters and for his own well-being, he was placed in a facility following years of outpatient treatment which proved insufficient for his needs,” she wrote on Instagram in 2023. “All measures that were taken in our home were at the explicit recommendation of his pediatric psychiatrist and/or his team of specialists and were put into place to safeguard every member of our family.”
